Ones to watch
Edinburgh - Sam Hidalgo-Clyne (Scrum Half)
A highly accurate boot and a sharp eye for breaks makes SHC a highly valuable player to Edinburgh.
Munster - CJ Stander (Back Row)
Relentless power and the league's 3rd joint top try scorer. Any missed tackles on him and problems will manifest for Edinburgh.

You say the nicest things rory...
Jebus can Keatley just keep the ball in hand instead of kicking it away in the red zone...

Annoying, that try all comes off the back of a man sausage up at the lineout in Munsters 22. Followed by a kick out on the full by Tonks.
Re: Edinburgh Rugby vs Munster, 11 April
Edinburgh finding it a bit hard with 2 openside on the pitch at the same time

If the ref is going to penalise for lifting legs in the maul, then why the hell didn't Edinburgh just change their tactics and drop it immediately when defending a lineout from 10 metres?

Looks like TOD has had passing coached out of him by his time in the Irish setup..two times now a pass was on and he looked for contact.

Visser yellow career for 'slowing the ball down' in the ruck. Never thought I'd see the day
Re: Edinburgh Rugby vs Munster, 11 April
I don't really understand that one.. surely he came through the gate, was on his feet and he was perfectly in his rights to steal the ball?

Can someone tell me why that was brought forward 10m when the captain was talking to the 'ref?

Re: Edinburgh Rugby vs Munster, 11 April
The ref was intent on penalizing us for anything there.

I think it is because he annoyed him in the first half and once more early in the second and the ref was losing patience with him....

That was never a try by Zebo. How could the TMO get that wrong?!

I've never seen a ref march a captain back 10m, so he must be really annoying him

Re: Edinburgh Rugby vs Munster, 11 April
The home side have their minds on next week by the looks of this game. I am not sure about the Zebo try he looked as if he completely missed the ball even he did not claim the try. Downward pressure is not needed as long as the ball is on the ground when the ball is touched, there was no evidence the ball was touched.
Apart from the iffy try the ref has been fair and could have given out more yellows.

A yellow would have been harsh, more would have been completely ridiculous.
It was clumsy, and should be penalised, but a red would have been crazy. The body check on Murray in the 1st half was worse..

So why was munster 7 allowed to pluck the ball it of the scrum like that?

Ruck was formed. Fair enough pen - yellow for persistent infringement

I hate Paul O'Connell. He is just too good at setting a maul off a lineout. Hate the bugger (today)

Re: Edinburgh Rugby vs Munster, 11 April
We were on the receiving end of a good old Munstering there, and certainly deserved to lose that, but some of those decisions stick in the throat.
There's no way in any universe that zebo score was a try, and as I said earlier Earls was in front of the kicker for his try.
I also don't see how visser got a yellow given he didn't really disrupt the ruck in any way.
But these decisions didn't affect the ultimate result - Munster did what Munster do well, and we were poor.
Very unimaginative with the ball, aimless box kicks, numerous attacking lineouts messed up and 3 scrums turned over even though we had a nudge on.
injuries to Hidalgo-Clyne and Denton didn't help, but it's probably fair to say the players had one eye on next week.
It was also bloody Baltic at Murrayfield tonight.
