The V2 predictor
Going to keep this as simple as possible, i'll pick 5 or 6 of the highest profile fights of the weekend up until the May 30th card at the 02 to see who is the top predictor on 606v2, bit short notice for this weekend but i'll give it a go anyway.
The rules are simple; one point for correct boxer, one point for correct method and one point for exact round or UD/MD/SD, three points for a correctly predicted draw but any fight ending in a disqualification will become null and void.
This weekends fights
Josh Warrington vs Dennis Tubieron 12 rounds Featherweight
Martin Joseph Ward vs Maxi Hughes 10 rounds Super Featherweight
Danny Garcia vs Lamont Peterson 12 rounds 143lb catchweight
Andy Lee vs Peter Quillin 12 rounds Middleweight
Jan Zaveck vs Sasha Yengoyan 12 Light Middleweight
Orlando Salido vs Roman Martinez 12 rounds Super Featherweight
Look out for Ievgen Khytrov who seems to be the next in a long line of upcoming Eastern European punchers.

Re: The V2 predictor
Would he really cool if we had a "stipend" and saw who made the most out of a decent months boxing. Incredibly convoluted though, so this will do.
Warrington - UD
Ward UD
Little concerned about Garcia-Peterson. Peterson is no great shakes, but Garcia doesn't do it the easy way round. Could be hustled to a defeat.
Tentatively, though Garcia UD
Quillin UD (although I've bet on Lee KO)
Martinez UD
can't even pretend to have an opinion on the other fight.

To save typing: All of the fighters in the left column via UD barring Garcia for TKO 7.

I see Jason Quigley as more of a prospect, especially after his peformance against Khytrov in the European AMs.

That's our Milky. Nothing screams Daring Gambler like waiting for the inept to make a prediction and going the other way

Gotta have a system raf. After reading truss' prediction thread yesterday, I think mine is better than most.

Re: The V2 predictor
Good man for doing this, Hammersmith. Was hoping someone would get some kind of prediction league going again....And couldn't be bothered with the hassle of toting up the scores every week myself.
Will get back to you with some predictions before tomorrow night. Ta.

Re: The V2 predictor
I've been barred by the bbbofc against predicting any outcome of any fight. The second I start claiming a fighter looks good or I fancy them to do a number on the other guy it's like when in a TV series gives a central character loads of screen time and a happy plot right before they're killed off. They need extra medical assistance a ringside when I place a bet. Ask Chisora how he's feeling after I put a few quid on him!!

Re: The V2 predictor
I'm taking a leaf out of robs book and predicting after the event is over.
But if I was to predict it I'd go with
Warrington KO 7
ward UD
Peterson SD
Lee KO 3
Zaveck UD
Salido KO 8

I think Oswaldo should complete the previous prediction league because I was quite clearly the winner!!!

I don't know what to make of this Warrington lad...............He looks very efficient and I like him but there seems to be something missing....
Good luck to him though he seems like a good kid..

I feel the same about the happy go lucky, Warrington. I'll be watching it, mainly to laugh at the absolute mutants in his fan base. Always reminds me of the scene from the Star Wars cantina when he fights in Leeds!

He's missing a big punch, his stamina and work rate seem second to none but how many light hitting swarmers make it at world level?

Re: The V2 predictor
Nurse looked fairly classy in outpointing Taylor, dropping him once with a good left to the body, was a bit of confusion in the 4th when he dropped him but the ref had already called break. Personally think he could do with using smaller gloves, unless he has serious hand problems see no reason why he wears such massive pillows.
Hughes was cut early from an accidental head clash and a round later had his nose split open by a good Ward uppercut, the corner initially willing to give him another round but pulled him out after the fifth.
Warrington looked good for large periods against Tubieron but his lack of power meant his opponent was never in any real trouble, defiantly firing back every time he looked like being overwhelmed. A decent overall performance but feel he'd benefit from throwing less, sitting down on his punches a bit more and trying to gain opponents respect early.
