Re: Singles predictor
Watson 2-1 (Bubba will have a tornado behind him
Simpson 3-2 (putter is steaming)
Bradley 3-2
Rose 1 hole
Lawrie 1 hole (I know upset but i think Lawrie has been steady eddie and sneddy a little hot/cold)
Johnson 3-2 (Colsearts will fall behind and TRY to hard)
Garcia 2-1 - (Enigmatic but think he might show up!!!)
McDowell 2-1 (Never better against a stoic hard-man)
Dufner 4-3 (Easiest game to call...(.Hanson confidence must be low and should have played more than once)
Kuchar 5-4 (second easiest game....Love Westwood but he can't put this weekend!!)
Stricker half Kaymer.......leave early to enjoy the champagne...
Woods half Molinari.......Same as above..

Re: Singles predictor
Kwini - you've predicted a whitewash in every session... Stop jinxing the boys, how about 11-1 ?
has there ever been a match were none of the 28 matches were tied?

Re: Singles predictor
picking the 8 wins is a tough one and some of the underperformers so far will definitely need to find birdie streaks to make the americans chase.
can the american putters remain hot for a 3rd day? and can the europeans begin to see their own putts drop where they just didn't in the first 2 days?
when i say underperformers, i don't think there have been that many bad rounds out there, if at all. but it needs rounds in the mid-60s to really compete.
singles is a very different game though as we all know and probably the format (in this ryder cup) where perhaps the europeans can begin to shine. many have failed to do it as a team of 2. whether that's due to some odd pairings (putting 2 steady eddies together will not work) or the additional pressure of the americans firing putts in from all over the place and having to play a catch-up game with a partner.
i would expect (at least) a couple of our big guns to face too tough a challenge, but would hope that our 'b' team could actually find their own game and come up with some surprises.
there are a lot of if and buts, however my glass is half full and i hope that the end of yesterday's fourballs will have given the americans reason to ponder and the europeans reason to have hope.

Re: Singles predictor
Lots of good points 3putt,
It always used to be the case that it would be the "B" players who's passion would provide the edge. Not recently however, except Poults who seems to elevate his game from "B" to "A+" every two years.

Re: Singles predictor
thanks kwini! i knew it would be tough but our A team came through massively. the first 5 points was huge and the repercussions reverberated through the entire team and also the US team. fabulous stuff!
delighted that kaymer sank the retainer. would love to see him come back.

Wonderful week's golf, no doubt about it.
Just fantastic.
NBC TV totally speechless and doubtless a certain Mr.Montgomerie sampling some crow. Love it.

I love that this is the quip all the media are using now, and you mentioned it as a light-hearted joke before hand! Cracking stuff.

I really thought the match-ups looked good!
'Course, I mostly did on Friday and Saturday also!!
But you gotta have faith.
