Re: Connacht v Glasgow Warriors, 25 April
Connacht now in 7th spot and Scarlets still to play Dragons. Wonder what the odds are on Treviso beating Leinster next week, and Edinburgh beat the Dragons away?
That would possibly leave Edinburgh and Leinster fighting it out with each other on the last day for the final qualifying spot.

I think getting the Connacht scrimmaging coach on board next season is starting to look like a very shrewd move. He has clearly been doing a very good job with them!

I'd like to see Edinburgh's forwards combine with Glasgows backs!

We shall see but it could be due to the players too. Definitely looks like an improvement though.
With the pack they have Connacht fans must be wondering what they are trying to do with that gameplan.

Glasgow giving Connacht too many easy outs in their 22 - just let them clear it!

To be fair to them, Connacht are playing at a good tempo.

Re: Connacht v Glasgow Warriors, 25 April
The more I see of Robbie Henshaw the more he reminds of a young O'Driscoll, passing, defending, tackling, jackaling, throwing no look passes for intercept tries, chasing down a player to prevent another one.
And unsurprisingly, the ref finally lost patience with someone and cards Seymour. Penalty to Connacht - they kick for touch.
The catch and maul but Glasgow successfully bring it down.
Connacht attacking relentlessly, but after several phases Healy drops it. Doh!

What??
Ref and TMO both award the try - no clear and obvious knock on??

That was never a try, not grounded and looked knocked on. Ridiculous!

Well - that's brought Connacht back into the game. Carty converts and it's now 13-19.

Glasgow have certainly managed to get on the wrong side of the ref since minute one!

And Carty misses another penalty - that's 9 points gone a begging.

This ref is really out to do us. He has been very poor, never a try and never a yellow!

And another try for Glasgow. Ref was in the way of a Connacht tackler.

Ashe and Strauss combine beautifully. Hopefully not long before they are doing so for Scotland. Ashe probably my MoM today, he has carried very well.

Re: Connacht v Glasgow Warriors, 25 April
A good win for Glasgow and a great result for Edinburgh. They looked like a team that had not played much for a few weeks, which is exactly what they were. Got back to the old Glasgow towards the end.
The two props, Welsh and Grant, certainly put down their markers to be in the starting 15, they certainly sorted out the scrum. Murray may not be going to the WC at all unless he starts to find some form. I would have Nel and Welsh as my starter for 2 and the others scrapping for the third spot.
Ashe had a big game and is really developing into a class no.8, if you think that he is not ready yet you are wrong. He seems to get bigger every time he plays, looks huge now and has some turn of pace as well. Harley may struggle to start get a start soon.
Funny old game really, but Glasgow showed their class when they needed to and cut Connacht to pieces when they picked their moments. They are on a good run now without stretching themselves. They will certainly be fresh for the Ospreys game.
