Power Play Golf
As unnecessary as I expected.
And Paula Creamer is not regarded as a hottie, yeah?

Re: Power Play Golf
I don't see anything special about Paula Creamer or Natalie Gulbis, they've both got that predictable, vacant, vacuous and boring all-american look.
Wouldn't kick either of bed obviously but would prefer any of the following:-
Stephanie Michl, Nicole Perrot, Minea Blomqvist and Carin Koch

Re: Power Play Golf
Creamer looks like Miss Piggy's bloated twin-sister.
And today she had a great big Randolph Scott on her face that still managed to burst through the 5mm of war paint she'd plastered on.
I met Carly Booth at Golf Live - she would get it, even if she's a sweaty.

Merc, you should be arrested for that, she's not much older than an embryo, plus she's got a forehead like a TEFAL scientist.

She was born the month I left secondary school which makes her very legal.
And you would, too.

Super I know what you're saying but I'd prefer to see both of them naked before jumping to any conclusions
Somebody please tell me Gael hasn't made the transition from the old 606, otherwise I feel a hefty cyber slap about to hit me

They'll all start drifting over here pretty soon.... it won't be long before the sardonic Dylonesque Diggers joins the growing throng. Be afraid Merc, be very afraid....

Re: Power Play Golf
I did Sky+ the event thinking it maybe worth a watch, but having flitted over to it in the breaks of Mrs MAvs programs I found that it was not entertaining and found no value in the format so stopped it recording and deleted it, everyone i've spoken with felt it didn't give the excitement it was supposed to.

Re: Power Play Golf
I watched a bit of it with a group of drunken cricketers, presumably the sort of casual fans it's meant to appeal to, and they didn't have a clue what was going on. Neither did I, come to that.

Re: Power Play Golf
On of the hole the ladies were playing at 135 yards and the gents from 190 or something, i'm not suprised they were 1st, 2nd, and 3rd!

Re: Power Play Golf
Just caught a few minutes of this while my fridge was being repaired. Commentators were making ridiculous amounts of fuss over any half decent shot, and failing miserably to make it exciting. Not for me.

I thought it was terrible but I am a traditionalist despite only being 21.
I simple 9 hole tournament would have provided more excitement.
Did anyone else find John Hawkesworth very annoying?

Re: Power Play Golf
Yes, the hyperbole of the commentators was annoying.
The previous day had a great ending to the PGA Championships. Golf isn't in need of hype.

Re: Power Play Golf
By far and away the worst golf / commentary broadcast that I've had the displeasure of witnessing. A complete waste of time; John Hawkesworth and co were abysmal with their pitiful efforts to big up what was a hopeless format.
To call it Tripe would be unfair on Tripe.

Re: Power Play Golf
im guessing powerplay is being promoted through IMG hence all of the IMG pros playing? Didnt notice any of Chubbies beer and skittles crew there?
We have enough formats forgolf and dont need more TV friendly rubbish. More pro events in the UK would be good...
Agree Hawkesworth was an idiot, is an idiot and will always be one. Prefered Di when she was blonde...
