Re: 6CW Chat v5
So, we've set up a Facebook group chat that we can use for show chats...if you're not invited yet and want to be then add one of us off here and we can invite you to the group. (I don't know if you can invite people who you aren't friends with). It will have spoilers but you can mute to conversation to avoid them/not have it pop up on your phone a lot.
I also think it's a great way for the bosses to send out announcements as it goes directly to us/before posting it on here etc.

If you send it to Paul Mac or JJ Johnson they can take it from there. I'm not sure if it's still there but I think you need to post more messages before you can message people.

Hey Paul! Just getting myself up to 10 comments! haha
And I've read the wrestling section of 606 since it's BBC days and followed it through to here when the BBC site shut down. Started reading the 6CW section a few months ago and got hooked to the point I wanted to be involved in the excitement!

So Kevin, as someone who has been reading but isn't involved (yet) what are your opinions?
If you were a fan, who would you be tuning in for?
(I'm avoiding the question who do you dislike/who don't you care for )

Have you read through any of the archive section to see what has happened over the past 2 and a bit years since we came back to v2 - I would offer a recap but a lot has happened - We so need a wiki

Re: 6CW Chat v5
sell when 6CW reopened there was a second fed ran on this site which was EWF run by JJ, and PMac and Dubois ran this one. Both ran from the same site but had no links to the other, JJ had previously had a stint running 6CW during the Genesis days. Genesis were a stable that nearly run 6CW out of business by taking over the company from within, if not for Keith Leone beating Lex Hart at Night of Glory 4, the 6cw brand would not exist any more
Anyhow I digress, as both of these companies continued to run on the site on a daily basis, obviously Paul and JJ had gotten together in secret and discussed the idea of a merger of the two feds, I'll see if I can find a link to the show were the merger happened but it was kind of like a simulcast as both had shows going up at the same time and the main event was were the merger happened) If I find the show I'll put the link here
I think it was Mr Jones who was running 6CW (you'll know him as the guy trying to get inside Liam Woods head and trying to get him to embrace his bad side) and Daniel Magnusson, who was a former owner himself returned to stake his claim. This then lead to a kind of civil war within 6CW as the Authority (we had one before the WWE) became the revivals greatest threat like Genesis before them. This lead to a survivor series type match to determine who controlled 6CW, and alas the Uprising won when gazzy pinned Max (you're welcome 6cw )
Over the course of the revival there have been some pretty big feuds over the titles. Namely Max and gazzy which has pretty much ran the duration since it reopened, Max becoming the longest serving 6CW champion ever along the way), and Liam Wood v Costello which is rivalry that has boiled over from their EWF days. Them two aside you'll have recently seen Lex v JJ which I think may have history from 6WF (another fed), Perfect Jack and Dicey who are two guys who were once tag champs in the old 6cw days just to name a few of the feuds that have been and are ongoing
6CW is also home to a match that makes the elimination chamber look like a childs playground and if you go back to Night of Glory last year and read the carnage that is the chamber of horrors you'll know what I mean. Last year saw four of the biggest monsters this fed has seen go in the Chamber, it even had its own crowd chant - LET THEM FIGHT - the chamber returns this year for the vacant Xtreme title with Dubs and Ryker already confirmed, hoping we get the remaining names on this next show with only two shows to go until the biggest night of the 6cw calendar

Re: 6CW Chat v5
Pretty good summary there Gazzy!
Daniel Magnusson started EWF and it was the Fear Campaign lead by Drake Callihan that destroyed it. Drake Callihan was the brother of Michael Jones. Michael Jones (as mentioned above my Gazzy) was the man who stole 6CW from Dean Andrews and when the merge happened EWF and 6CW became one.
since the revival
EWF World Champions:
Jason Sparxz, Vincent Costello, Liam Wood (Merge), Enforcer and Vincent Costello (second run)
6CW World Champions:
Nate Nack (Merge), Max Adamson and now Gazzy D

Re: 6CW Chat v5
Timeline essentially goes like:
6CW revival under the GM of Dean Andrews
Mr. Jones revealed as part owner alongside mystery backer who is providing the financial support for Andrews
Mystery backer withdraws support and Mr. Jones takes full control
EWF owned by Daniel Magnusson lose backing from sponsors and are in financial difficulty. Magnusson is attacked by a group called FEAR who have been terrorizing the Fed for months and fearing for her husbands life Mrs. Magnusson agrees to the sale of EWF to a mystery group
Mystery group revealed as being led by Mr. Jones who was actually behind FEAR and infiltrated EWF to force the sale
EWF close and move lock stock and barrel to UK to integrate with 6CW. Mr Jones as head of The Authority aims to get complete control of all titles and ruin the 6CW old guard
The uprising grow in strength under the guidance of Nate Nack and former 6CW owner Drake. Daniel Magnusson returns and grasps 50% control of 6CW due to a loophole in the original contract of sale
A match is made for full control and 6CW uprising(Magnusson) are the winners. The Authority is thrown out and Jones leaves 6CW
Magnusson reinstalls Dean Andrews as 6CW GM
Jones returns as Mike Masters advisor during a feud with Scott Harris (Jones' son)
6CW hire Anthony Grace(Film star and schoolboy friend of Andrews)
Grace's consultant(Charles Kramer) arrives in 6CW and he and the backers pushing Grace begin to grow in influence as they attempt to push Grace to the top
Dean Andrews appears to be working with Kramer to push Grace but Magnusson has resisted all attempts from Kramer and Andrews to work together
I think that is essentially the behind the scenes power struggles that have been going on - Someone else will have to list all the individual feuds etc

1. If your character took part in last years Night Of Glory do you think your match this year is bigger?
(I'm not talking just in placement on the card but also what it means for your character(s))
2. Where do you see your character going from here?

Re: 6CW Chat v5
Its a bit of a strange with gazzy, although I'm going into this years as champ defending against Joshua, last years Night of Glory was a huge night going into it for gazzy, and although I lost I got freedom from that contract with Max after he left as 6CW champion. Had that not happened then I may have never been in a position to go on and beat Max for the title that I'm now defending
as for the second question, well, who knows, suppose it depends on the outcome of the match, hoping I win but I think Joshuas been built up too well not to win (if that makes sense lol)

Re: 6CW Chat v5
Can't answer for Grace really but the year has been a blast for Joshua. The Let Them Fight chamber of horrors match really cemented Joshua's personality and although he didn't win it kickstarted a major feud with Plague.
I disagree with Gazzy....I think he will retain. I think the aftermath won't be pretty but I think the show ending will be GazzyD battered to an inch of his life but shows tremendous heart to pick up the win.

Re: 6CW Chat v5
To answer my own question:
I feel like the importance of Wood's match against Masters this year is just as important as the match against Costello last year...the win for Wood got his confidence back but it didn't quite get him out of the dip he's been in. I see this year really changing Wood's outlook which we've seen in a couple of previous shows.
I'm not sure if Wood shakes hands with Jones but if it does happen then I can see it making him pretty hated for going against everything he said.

QOTD;
Last year at Night of Glory was the beginning of what went on to be Masters heel turn whilst aligning with Jones in the process. I think with Masters better than ever now, this is undoubtedy Masters biggest match yet against Wood. Wood is certainly the biggest name he's faced too. What makes this match that more interesting is the unpredictability factor, its difficult to predict how the match will end as there's so many options JJ/Paul could take with it.

Re: 6CW Chat v5
I totally agree about there being so many options...
Wood joins Jones and they ditch Masters
Wood joins Jones AND Masters (brilliant match and handshake at the end)
Wood doesn't want to join but loses and is forced too
Wood doesn't join Jones
Wood doesn't join Jones and Masters turns on Jones for trying to replace him
There are probably a million different ways it could end.

Re: 6CW Chat v5
Can't really answer the questions of the day being a GM and all but from a booking point of view I see this as a much bigger event than last years.
In fact, on paper I don't think I have ever been involved in such a stacked card. I had to do a double take when I looked at all of the announced matches because I'm not sure there has ever been one quite like it.
A couple have come close but I reckon it is the best roster I've ever seen and I am anticipating one of, if not the, best pay per view I have had the pleasure of booking.
For those who were around for Night of Glory IV and the run up through 2011-2012 I have always said that was my peak in terms of being a fed head. I truly believe if we haven't surpassed that already then we are most certainly about to.

Great show JJ/Paul and all those who wrote the segments and matches. The card for the next show looks great, the eight man tag match in the 4th slot looks fantastic, can't wait to get some back and forth's going.

I know the picture bases for Gazzy, Joshy, Costello, Leone, Viper, Masters, Grace, Adamson, Cutler, Thunder (Jericho?), Arrows, Dubois.
Any ideas on:
Lex Hart
JJ Johnson - Kenny King
Buck Riggins - Luke Harper/Brodie Lee (He's probably gona just have to have the beard)
Jonathan Daniels - Lex Luger
Terrance Kray - Scott Dawson
Enigma - Arrow
Ryker Kidd - Seth Rollins
Syn Shadows - Neville

Was talking to Paul about Lex just now...we're nearly decided
JJ is Kenny King, Buck is Luke Harper (without the beard...so Brodie Lee), Daniels is Lex Luger, Enigma (while masked) is Arrow.
Not sure about Terry or Kidd.

Actually, I spoke to M when I did the Gateway To Glory poster and we decided on Scott Dawson off NXT...basically a short haired guy who looks like he wants to fight.
While I'm here, the Death Squad are Rocky Romero and Tomasso Ciampa...and Austin Stevens is Kevin Steen.

Ryker Kidd's character sheet says that he's Seth Rollins...I remember Bad Intentions were Rollins and Reigns but they're gone now so it free's him up for Ryker. Syn Shadows is Adrian Neville...and Thunder is Jericho (he was originally Matt Smith from Dr Who)

1. With all respect to Twist, Adamson's gone from defending the 6CW World Title to the rivalry with Grace. It's still huge but it's a smaller match.
2. I think Adamson's feud with Grace won't be a one match thing (despite my work commitments getting in the way of promos recently), so more from that, but then I don't see Adamson getting back into the 6CW World Title picture anytime soon as it's somebody else's turn! Probably some more big feuds (Adamson v Leone or JJ or Viper) or getting into a different title picture. Whatever Paul and JJ have to throw at me I'm all in.
