If Carlsberg Did Weekends
Well what a cracking weekend, unfortunately now back on wrong side of the bridge very tired, weary and skint but happy.
Friday - Good night down at Dave to watch the Dragons win and get a bit of revenge over Edinburgh.
Saturday - First the RAF were crowned Inter Service Champions after 21 long years then a cracking night with friends and family at ECP watching the mighty Ebbw beat keys and get a shot at Ponty next week in the final and all in our first season back in Premiership.
Well Done All

I watched the Ebbw v Keys game - Carl Meyer is some player.

LP,
He had a storming game and his kicking range is huge, there seems to be a good relationship between them and Dragons over him at the moment as I am sure that if we hadn't been involved in the play off then he would have been involved against Edinbrugh on the Friday.
That said I hope he does get a few more chances next season with the Dragons, I was told on Saturday that his sporting visa runs out end of next season at the moment hope they extend it.

He's bound to be in the Dragons' plans. His kicking's a huge asset, but he has great hands too.

I am not sure how these sporting visas work, I guess if Dragons took him on full time etc then it would get sorted that way but don't know. There was just under 3000 there to which was a great turn out.

Eugene Cross Park looked much nicer in the sunshine than it was for the pre-season game against Northampton!

It would be great if we had another pre-season game up there, but I don't know how likely that is.

Speaking to one or two of the club members they said things have been muted but nothing for certain.
There seemed to be quite a 'warming' of attitudes to the Dragons up there on the weekend and whilst some people still refuse to go down to Dave there were a fair few who would etc.

Seeing as we lose two games off our season tickets with no LV, it would be nice if we had two pre-season games so we could do one up EXP and one at Dave.
Friday, I went in hospitality pre and post game and went on the Hazell terrace during the game.
Saturday, inter service win and Risca Athletic had our league presentation and loads of free beer.
So in a nutshell, I got blitzed twice without spending a penny.
