This Weekends Action
Morning Gents, hope you all had a fresh friday night!
Just a quick topic to start the day off really.
Two interesting fights up for grabs later.....firstly we have De Gale vs Davis....the winner, i believe, taking on Bika/Chavez Jr for a vacant World title.....
The other fight being the supposed P4P number 2 taking on Edwin Rodriguez...at 168.
Im predicting a De Gale UD and a Ward LKO....
De Gale will simply outbox and does not look like he carry's World level power.......UD via wide margin.
Ward will wear down an overweight La Bomba (cant believe he failed the weight), tire him out with body shots and rough inside headbutts and fighting.....then will probably stop him late.
Thoughts on the fights and where they go after said fights would be appreciated.....

WBC super middleweight title isn't vacant. Bika is the champion and he's fighting Dirrell in December.
Edwin Rodriguez talked a good game but couldn't be bothered to make the weight. Laughable.

Bika's only a paper champion IMO anyway.

Ohhhhhh what world class power.
Yeh its a tough night so far, but Tyson is starting to dominate. I have him up by 4 rounds now......(Vs Cunningham)

I read an article on the Upton brothers before the fight. Three of them are boxing pro IIRC. They were generating some minor paragraphs in the press in Ireland. I didn't have huge expectations but I have to say sonny's performance was very poor. It was mainly down to his conditioning. He was blowing out his ass at the start of the third round against an opponent hand picked by Hatton to give him an easy night. Losing in a pro debut is bad but losing like that was frankly embarrassing.
The only excuse I can think of is he expended all his energy in nerves before the fight and sort of froze when he got through the rope. I'm guessing he's feeling pretty low today.
