Slammiversary to air live in the UK
http://v2wrestling.com/5/post/2015/06/slammiversary-to-air-live-in-the-uk.html
Great news for British fans as it has been announced today that Slammiversary will air at the same time in the UK as its live broadcast in the US.
This will be the first time that a TNA PPV will air live in the UK and fans can tune in during the early hours of Monday June 29 at 1am. The full press release can be seen below but hopefully this is a sign of the continued relationship and broadcasting of Impact in the UK for the foreseeable future.
Press Release:
Challenge and TNA Wrestling are teaming up to make a small bit of UK wrestling television history - when TNA Slammiversary is broadcast LIVE across the UK and Ireland.
Slammiversary will air live on Challenge TV in the UK and Ireland at 1am on the morning of Monday June 29 - the first ever time a TNA PPV will go live in Britain. It will be repeated at 10pm on Wednesday July 1.
Slammiversary will be the first American wrestling PPV to air live on FREE UK television for almost 15 years.
It is the first step in a summer of wrestling on Challenge, which will also see classic and fan favourite events from the company's past play out on Wednesday nights during July.
Fans can watch Challenge - which broadcasts IMPACT WRESTLING every Sunday night at 9pm - on Sky (145), Freeview (46), Virgin Media (139) and Freesat (145).
Stephen Ladlow, Director of Challenge, says: “Challenge viewers can’t get enough of the exciting fast-paced action of TNA Impact Wrestling and we are always looking for ways to give them more of what they love on screen.
"It is a testament to the long standing partnership with TNA, that Challenge can bring its viewers a summer of special wrestling starting with Slammiversary live in June, followed by an array of high-profile classic TNA PPV broadcasts throughout July. There really is something for every wrestling fan exclusively on Challenge.”
TNA returns to the UK for three huge arena events in January 2016. Superstars including TNA World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle, TNA Knockouts Champion Taryn Terrell, EC3, Lashley, Eric Young, Bobby Roode and James Storm will be part of the MAXIMUM IMPACT 8 events in Manchester (Jan 29), London (Jan 30) and Birmingham (Jan 31).

Re: Slammiversary to air live in the UK
What's the story behind the EC3 / Angle fight being bumped to TV?
Seems strange that the biggest fight would be moved from their biggest event of the year.

Re: Slammiversary to air live in the UK
Not sure what is happening but the proposed date is 1st July. However, unlike many who are reporting this, its the contract signing on July 1st (look at the side banners here - http://www.impactwrestling.com/EVENTS)
I assume that the 25th June taping is the 1st July episode.
It would have made more sense to have the 24th as the contract signing and then kept the two off the tapings on the 25/26/27 allowing for the PPV to make sense. They could have then filled the 3 other tapings with backstage vignettes that couldnt be leaked. The changing from Friday to WEdnesday nights has really screwed the taping schedule and PPV.

Re: Slammiversary to air live in the UK
Right.... I'd read that as contract signing this week and then the fight on July 1.
I agree with you re: tapings and backstage vignettes. I suppose that with DA being present in creative meetings they probably raised some concerns that a WC wouldn't be on the show for getting on a month.
I think there's still enough in the show. The final match of the series for the tag titles should be the standout. Storm and Magnus can go. Knockouts could be okay to good depending on how its booked. The X Division looks awful considering the talent they have available these would be close to my last 3 picks.

Giving away the big match on free tv
TNA going to its death bed with a greatest hits perhaps?

they are talking about a rage alarm lexi. You see dicey has a bit of a short fuse and you wouldn't like it when he's angry.

Is stage 2 converting into Shane Helms & Stage 3 a full Hurricane with goofy cape with stage 4 adding Super Rosey to your arsenal of anger

Ha! Not Likely... Think Stephanie McMahon when she doesnt get her own way to the power of 20 - you may have touched on Stage 1.

Re: Slammiversary to air live in the UK
I was thinking more along the lines of Lexi H Havok (a.k.a "Double H")
Aaaaanyway...back on topic. I'm afraid it will be too late for me to watch and I already have a load of stuff I've recorded and never watched. I might have stayed up had the Angle - EC3 match been included.
OTOH I'm sort of glad I'll be able to watch the title match at a reasonable hour. Still feel bad for TNA that DA are able to basically dictate what they show and when. Suppose beggars can't be choosers though.
