Is Wood a feud that perks your interest Dicey?
For all the hassle we give Liam, he is a good promoer and someone you can rely on in a feud. Plague v Joshua was some of my favourite ever promo work.

I've never eaten a real Pot Noodle, only super noodles when my student budget ran thin
Not bad cheers Twist, yourself? Just sorting out a job for a year before my MA begins. Lots of good and interesting grad jobs that then ask for 1/2 years experience in their specific field...

I loved Super Noodle at Uni.....Beef ones for lunch every day for months. I think cravings when you are at Uni are like what pregnant women go through. Would happily have the night before kebab for breakie and just scrape the mayo off.
Sounds great stuff CJ, what field are you looking to go into?
Cue Dicey saying a clover field or something

I study Ancient History but have done Beginners Latin. I want to do something office related for now as that's what I'm most likely to end up doing, just hopefully in a more historic sense if possible

Re: 6CW Chat v6
Pretty much anything to the collapse of the Western Roman Empire (A.D. 476) is definitely Ancient History. You could spread it to include the Vikings, but normally that would be taught on a normal History course.

You should join the civil service Jack and work in one of the Museums over there or as a tour guild

There aren't a tonne of museum jobs going at my level atm, but tour guide is definitely an option I'm looking into. Houses of Parliament/Buckingham Palace usually have vacancies.
I've done some archaeology modules in my undergrad, but I definitely prefer studying Ancient History. I find Tacitus/Suetonius/Cassius more interesting than finds usually

I have a Tacitus book at home, I'm not that into Roman history so it did nothing for me but worth a read

Yeah, Cassius is indeed a handful
Yeah, I'm most interested in the Roman Empire, so with the amount of primary sources available, studying Ancient History for it is relatively simple.

It is something that interests me too, but I probably wouldn't have the patience to revise and take it all in.

I know a guy like that whose in his 3rd year now Dicey, he's upset as at UKC there isn't any real Viking specialists. As you pointed out, tonnes of Roman specialists due to the occupation. The best Uni for Ancient Greece in Britain is Edinburgh strangely.

Re: 6CW Chat v6
That's surprising as The Vikings did control a large chunk of the Northern and Western coastline of Britain

Re: 6CW Chat v6
I guess it's because compared with the Romans and Saxons, there's remarkably little left of Viking occupation. You can find Celtic ruins still, but Viking evidence is fairly sparse. I'm sure though there are must be a few unis in key areas that have a real focus on the subject. As Canterbury was a Roman town though, I can understand why the focus was Roman there.

True, I say you'd find some on the coastal islands (Orkneys etc) more so than inland Britain, there is loads over here as most of our big cities were Viking strongholds and are all on the coast or on a river
