Sangkarra retires
well timed.....great player....although a HTB for a long time...raised his level of the game overseas also in the last few years which was a purple patch.....and think about it....he was a specialist WK also for a long time.
Lanka's greatest player ever.
an era is coming to an end.....Younis and Misbah the last men standing

Absolute all-time great. If our Hall of Fame was still running he'd be a shoe-in (or should be).

Have huge respect for him as a cricketer and a person. However why is he retiring after 2nd test v India and not the last of the series?

Said it before and I have no qualms saying it again. For me, the best since Bradman.

Good question...and I was wondering too.
On't be surprised if BCCI has traded off the 3rd test for 2 more masala ODIs and a T20

What a way to go, with a golden duck.
Obviously an all time great, and just as importantly, a great player to watch. A class batsman, and man.

The 37-year-old, who had already quit one-day and Twenty20 cricket, will finish his international career on home soil, in the second of the three-match Test series against India in August.

Absolutely brilliant batsman, pretty good wicketkeeper, an all format player, and a fine thinker of the game......

Sanga has opted out of the 3rd test of the ongoing Pakistan series, and will retire after the 2nd test against India in the upcoming series.
