It's pretty poor so far. Such is the disadvantage of youth, he needs to work on keeping his on court demeanour fiery buy in check. He's judy deflating now

I could care less about Anderson's taxes... It's his ambivalent, "I don't play Davis Cup unless I need ranking points" attitude that stinks high up to heaven. On reflection, I hope Djokovic demolishes him.

This is why I believe players like Kyrgios are not slam winning material. Mind you after he beat Nadal I thought he could have a future as he handled the situation well but he is just good headlines and nothing else. The only one who seems to be mature of that generation is Raonic.

Raonic isn't of that generation. He's 4-5 years younger.
I think K will win majors.

I don't think he does too badly.

Although Federer has historically only dabbled in DC, and always on his own terms. Do you look as unfavourably on that? (genuine question)

I don't personally look unfavourably at Rogers dc record. It's his career and he doesn't feel it worth it. Thought it was a bit odd when he u turned that last year, maybe he's just getting old I also hate this autocorrect

A blank spot on the CV that, with Stan's improvement, he probably felt he had a good chance of filling.temporary21 wrote:I found my personally look unfavourably at Rogers dc record. (I think this despite his rather PseudoFed-esque claim that he "didn’t need this to tick off the boxes...this one was for the boys"!)

Come on, these are peanuts and a reaction to a tragedy, not a continuous help in a more sustainable way.
Don't sugar coat it

Re: Wimbledon Day 7 - Blow a Gasquet & Bust Agut
Has Federer really needed DC points though? And more over, with a 17-time slam champion in Roger. And Martina Hingis, Suisse tennis hardly needed anything extra to market itself for kids. By comparison, at various stages in his career, KA has needed the points from DC, not so much to get into a slam, but sometimes to get seeding, etc. Now that he's firmly ensconced in the Top 20, suddenly realises that South Africa is a rather long flight from home, and that Tennis South Africa doesn't pay him for DC services. While I could empathise with that from a guy ranked 100+... the idea that he genuinely finds it unfair that an organisation which has (had?) its head offices on the second floor of a cricket ground can't afford to pay a multi millionaire some cash for him to beat down a few guys ranked >100 is untenable. I mean, really, I'd venture TSA makes less in a year than KA made for this Wimbledon.

That's probably the same thinking federer had though. I do understand the annoyance. Switzerland doesn't need the money nor the inspiration, whilst sa definitely does. I think maybe SA need to talk with him to get him on board

Well Korgi was harsh to Aussie Tennis guys (for not helping him after the surgery, blla blla) and they reprimanded him nicely yesterday.

Re: Wimbledon Day 7 - Blow a Gasquet & Bust Agut
Kyrgios' major problem, is his return game can be nonexistent. Even when he beat Rafa, it was more on the back of a superlative serving performance than a great all round game. Playing like that can get you through the odd upset, but over the course of a grand slam... you can't really get to the business end consistently if you can't break consistently.

Gasquet has 2 match points but Kyrgios wins the third set...is this the start of the annual Gasquet choke?

If you're gonna pick a player to be multiple match points down against, Gasquet is not the worst draw.

Great win for Gasquet.

No idea. I preferred it when it was called Match of the Day - I think it once was called. Just raw tennis. Okay allot five minutes at the end for a brief overview of the day's play.

Murray gets his lobs working in the return game and forges three set points but Karlovic big serve bailed him out of a huge hole and it is 6-6 and we go to a tie-break.
