Which would be beaten
Which light-welterweights, from each of the four main boxing organisations tops 10's, could ronda rousey beat in a street fight?

I had to Google who Ronda Rousey was. There seems to far to much MMA talked about on here nowadays for my liking

I love Rousey, but she isn't beating a male world championship calibre fighter in a fight.

Come to think of it maybe with all that relentless rolling around on the floor and grappling I might enjoy womens MMA

She can absolutely batter me if she likes. But she'll have to come up to light heavy, no catchweight nonsense!

I don't understand the clamour around Rousey. Apparently she's a bit of looker who can fight. The fighting bit - yup - she's pretty badass. But a looker? She always looks like a cross between a stroppy teenager and a bulldog licking p!ss off a thistle. Grumpy wench.

Straight up boxing match, she doesn't stand a chance but if you're talking about an anything goes "street fight" then she takes any top ten LWW down to the ground in the first 30 seconds then arm bars them a few seconds later and they'll have no idea what just happened to them

Ffs she has more all around tools than a boxer, but she ain't reaching for a world class one before she gets her head taken off.
Male ufc fighters have a big advantage but women don't. Before I am deemed sexist, I understand she has skills but men are far faster and more powerful. She won't get close to clinch.

Re: Which would be beaten
It's in the street, so it's a stand up fight and ronda hasn't shown any serious leg striking skills yet that might keep fists at a distant. Her most recent fight is the first time she's shown the punching side to her game, and I think that's really a tool in progress for her, given her judo background. So I think it's safe to assume she gets smashed in a street fight against a similar sized male world level boxer.
She's light years ahead of the UFC woman, but woman's UFC is an infantile sport. It's hard to gauge whether she's so much better of the chasing pack or whether they are so much worse.
In my mind she locks an armbar as well as anyone in the world regardless of sex. But I think it's completely speculative to rank her highly p4p regardless of sex due to her level of competition.

Preach brother preach
Re: Which would be beaten
She fights at 135lbs, picking a guy at 140lbs is an added unfair advantage.
That said, much of the old adage is true, put them in an Octagon and they'd lose, put her in a ring and she'd lose.
It's all about what you're trained for. She would never go for a win by strikes and she'd have her head taken off on the way in, but she'd just go for a take down and wrestle an arm bar finish as no boxer is trained to defend that kind of offence.

Re: Which would be beaten
Possibly. But you have to pick the gender difference also. Reflexes, ability to take shots and would she have the strength and speed to apply her usual skills before the guy manages to land a punch. Would she be able to pick out feints and jabs? I think it'll be akin to Bute stepping into Froch and finding out what the difference between the top tiers of the sport. Can't be as simple as each winning their own sports.
Re: Which would be beaten
I don't think she'd need to pick feints and jabs, she'd be on her feet less than 10 seconds, just diving straight at the shins/knees knowing her oppo doesn't have leg strike skills to deter her or the knowledge to defend a take down or what to do when on your back.
That'd be her chance though. Fluff that and I'd agree she's fooked.

Well I can proudly say I've never seen her fight and never will. If guys want to see two members of the fairer sex hitting eachother then good luck to them.
But as Bert Sugar used to say when returning subscriptions to disenchanted boxing illustrated followers who moaned about the lack of female boxing reports in his magazine.

I did about her fight with Bethany Page and the controversy of a black prostitute being put into a title fight with a made up record of 16-1 and it being one of boxing's lowest moments..

I meant in terms of getting in close. Yes she's going to go for the legs but it's prudent to attack between punches rather than going straight for the jugular so to speak.
Re: Which would be beaten
I don't she'd be able to approach it that way. It'd be 'ding ding' and charge for the legs. Any attempt to 'get close' and her head would get taken off.

Don't worry I have good news for you. I hear there are plans afoot to take away their right to vote, work, drive and charge Mayweather for assault.

Re: Which would be beaten
Ronda Rousey is turning into a man so perhaps he could beat 140lb boxers.

Her ring walk annoys me, and I think she has too much to say when she fights. I know I am easily annoyed!
I just can't warm to her. Hope she gets a good kicking (unlikely because she is head and shoulders above her competition)

Re: Which would be beaten
While I do tend to agree to the notion that Ronda is probably taking advantage of a rather weak field. Still, you can only beat what's in front of you, and outside the cyborg - which really is a realistic fight in the way Alvarez-Kovalev is- She's got no one with even a hope of touching her.
She's obviously got a huge PR machine behind her. But that's the fight game.

Also she looks like f..k all without make up. Did you not see the head on her the other night?
I like my women to be feminie and lady like. I don't have gay tendacies, so not in to the butch type with muscles. Each to their own I guess. Some like me, prefer Maria Sharapova, others Serena Williams.
Everyone is different.

Sharapova is alright. Little Icy for me. Ana Ivanovic is flames.
Rousey is muscled, but she's hardly She-Hulk. I like her when she's chunky though. Much cuter when she's chunky.

No mate, was a joke. If anyone is gay on here or knows anybody that is I mean no offence. Just stating I don't think she is anything special.
That is the sort of sh1t banter we have were I'm from.
