Fury - Klitschko on Sky PPV
Unbelievable...
Sky look like picking up the rights on the cheap and stick it on PPV at the same price as Mayweather-Pacquaio
Sky Sports looks increasingly overpriced as they leak content to BT Sport and then they land a big draw fight and stitch us up again....
Great.
Thanks.

Suspect they will ask Hearn to put a card together in the UK to justify the fee. Poor show if not, Klitschko is rarely if ever in a good fight and their undercards are notoriously poor affairs.

Doesn't really back up Hearn's argument that "these fights just can't be made if there isn't PPV money available". I was under the impression this fight was already signed.

They should put the press conferences on PPV and show the fight for free.
I imagine the press conferences will be far more entertaining.

It's for the pretty much undisputed Heavyweight title though....
How many on here bought Haye v Audley ???
I'm with Rowley.............Undercard is crucial as to whether the wallet comes out..

Another problem is Germany is like Tokyo.........No atmosphere......
Have a feeling it will be closer than people think but it will be as dull as dishwater before Wlad does him late....

That's a very good call....
Brook due to be fighting late October and he's now a "PPV fighter".
Possibly DeGale as well although he's probably going to be fighting in America next.

Tubbs got 1.2 milion for Tyson back in 88......Scotty
Crazy money in the heavy division....
Then again it's the division most "sport" fans care about I guess.....The old tag "The Heavyweight champion is the baddest man on the planet!!"

You would think Hearn would be amenable to the idea, the fights he was banking on for his PPV’s this year like Froch’s swansong, Brook Khan and Frampton Quigg have all fallen through. You’d have to think he would welcome someone picking up some of the slack and him not getting slaughtered on places like this and in the press for the quality of the card. Seems to work all round.

I will be happily paying for this. I for the life of me would never forgive myself if I didn't watch the useless fat slob getting dropped 5 times before getting stopped in the 2nd round.

I know he isn't everyones cup of tea but why is he labelled a useless fat slob ? Unbeaten British, European champion who'd be favourite over around 90% of the HW's in the world today - can't be that useless. I'm looking forward to the fight - don't expect Fury to win but don't think he'll be humiliated either.

Fat:
Useless: Decked by a CW, "lost" to John Macdo Macdermott, generally woeful in technique and will be totally dismantled against Wlad.
Humiliated? Will be one of the most epic events of recent times regarding that. Gonna spend more time on his back and knees than Mrs Froch would after being kidnapped by Dave.

Ali was decked by Sonny Banks - someone who weighed less than Cunningham. Granted got a favourable decision against John Mc but hasn't done much wrong since. We've had a lot worse fighters on these shores challenging for HW title.

It's hard to guess how Ali would do against McDermott without seeing him in against someone of that class.

The only good thing I can say in Fury's favour, unlike a lot of other Klitschko opponents, he won't be intimidated, the press conferences are going to be great.
PPV not for me, only watch it live if our pubs got it on.

I disagree actually. Think Fury is a mouth and he rarely fights on the foot front. I think he feels Wlad's power early and goes into a shell quite quickly. Somewhat similar to the Haye fight but without the footwork of Haye so I think he'll be taken out in 5 or 6 rounds.

Car Crash Tv isn't something to be aspired to truss. I'd just be happy with A - Wlad - Pulev type fight.

I reckon he'll try and showboat (fight southpaw, laughable shoulder roll etc) and get sparked out fairly quickly.

It's more than possible.......I think however with Wlad's whiskers he'll be more circumspect with a bigger and heavier guy.....Saw Wlad rocked with a jab a couple of fights back...
Think Fury has a chance.........But I'd pick Wlad..

I'll be watching this fight the following morning, no way in hell am I parting with any money to watch it.
Yes I did buy Clev vs Bellew but I like the pair and did expect a decent fight, couldn't foresee the borefest they'd serve up.

What's that got to do with Fury, Klitschko, go into a ring intimidated before a punch is thrown, you might as well not get in the ring.shenglong2015 wrote:Nico the gman wrote:The only good thing I can say in Fury's favour, unlike a lot of other Klitschko opponents, he won't be intimidated, the press conferences are going to be great.

Re: Fury - Klitschko on Sky PPV
I cancelled Sky and got BT, if that fight goes on PPV, you have to ask what exactly are you paying them £30 a month for, which is why I cancelled Sky in the first place. Cheaper for me to buy PPV's every now and then and split the cost with friends, if there is a must see fight on Sky I can just get that channel for a day for 6.99 and pay one off. Not likely to happen with the current model mind you.
Sky Sports is an absolute rip off.

The fight is in Dusseldorf right? I cant see Brook v Chaves coming off on tht card. Matchroom wont want to sacrifice that fight on a Klitschko undercard in Germany.
If Matchroom do supply any fighters it will probably most likely be go to guys like Martin Murray v a nobody or a some pushover fights or shoehorning Joshua in against a punchbag.

I would back at least 10 current heavies to beat Fury. Still its not hard to get a shot at the champ. Hes beaten Chisora twice and waited his turn. Wlad will drag it out, but cant see Fury winning a round. Think Fury is a very cautious fighter himself so it wont be pretty

Re: Fury - Klitschko on Sky PPV
I feel I've already gotten value for money out of Fury thanks to his channel 5 days so I'll pay for it. Much like Frampo, I wish more fighters would fight on terrestrial TV when they are starting out as it does help boost their profile and capture new fans. I don't begrudge Fury his PPV now, even if it does end up going into his early retirement pot after Wlad flattens him.
