This is Cheating!
First topic message reminder :
This is what Kyrgios did to gain advantage over Wawrinka in their 2nd round match in Montreal
http://thebiglead.com/2015/08/12/nick-kyrgios-to-stan-wawrinka-kokkinakis-banged-your-girlfriend-sorry-to-tell-you-that-mate/
Not only is it cheating but it should in my opinion been punished with a code violation. I believe it should have been judged as a major incident of aggravated behavior and should have resulted in Kyrgios being defaulted. It could be considered verbal abuse, unsportsmanlike behavior and conduct contrary to the integrity of the game. According to the ATP rule book a singularly egregious, a single violation of any of these offenses shall also constitute the player Major Offense of Aggravated Behavior. This carries a penalty of immediate default and can also result in suspension from the ATP tour.
So why was Kyrgios not penalized? If the Umpire didn't hear at the time penalties can be given retrospectively when evidence is discovered. My guess is that the ATP is so worried about selling the game post FeDal they are will even stoop to selling it as a circus Kyrgios is probably being paid more for this sort of behavior (in endorsements) than he is for his tennis skills It is also a way of gaining advantage in matches that doesn't involve tennis skills at all

The key word was in the title of your argument, perspective.
What may not be offensive to you could offensive to others. The events you touched on in the past didn't have benefit and intrusion of social media and the intense cameras everywhere. Imagine those events happening in 2015.

Marvelous - didn't get that interview with Donald Dell I was hoping for, but there's always next year.

I'm sorry, I don't quite follow - are you saying the things said before are, or are not, worse than what Kyrigos said? I agree that social media has contributed to the exaggerated outrage (if that's what you meant!).

Again perspective. Define what is worse? What Kyrgios said was of offence to Stan. Because it isn't aimed at anyone else, we don't take offence. I find what he said to be distasteful. All of what was mentioned in the article again for me distasteful. I can see why some were outraged because declaring in front of the world someone's privacy is a pretty crappy thing to do. That doesn't by any means exonerate the others mentioned.
Just that Kyrgios's words are more captured within the media because of the joy of technology.

Re: This is Cheating!
Turns out now that Krygios was completely misunderstood and his 'sorry to tell you that mate' was in fact completely earnest. He'd been wracked with guilt the whole match wondering whether to tell Stan or not. In the end, he just couldn't contain his altruistic urges.

Yeah, while Aza has some thighs, Woz is downright a farm girl gone bad in the city.

Good lord no, not my type of sport.
But she was rude to an umpire, which is far worse than being rude to another player, so I assumed this section had gone into meltdown.

Nah not meltdown.
I think the shock factor has subsided. It just gets a little crazy when it gets compared to other incidents the waters become muddier. Then it's a meltdown.

Re: This is Cheating!
So in conclusion, its either political correctness gone mad, panic everyone!
or its a total disgrace to humanity, panic everyone!
Its just a bum move, the sort of thing footballers would do, but tennis players are expected to have a better standard.
