LadyPutt finished with a frenzy landing a 1,2,5 punch that blitzed the chasing pack and capped a dominating performance.  LadyPutt actually had four picks score just like CJB, I'm Never Wrong, and SirBenson but they couldn't match the quality.  Beninho, Hibbz, Kwinigolfer, and TheCleaver had three picks of varying quality score points.  AlciG, Davie, EmmDee57, McLaren, Pedro, and Super_Realist all had two picks score points; AlciG also had Thomas Pieters but his haul was the still some way off of LadyPutt's.  BlueCoverman, Eyetoldyouso, Owen10ozzy, Raycastleunited, and SetupDetermines all had one pick score points.

Robert Dinwiddie had the round of the day with a 62.  Three players, Martin Kaymer (a popular pick), Alvaro Quiros, and Jason Barnes shared the worst round score with 74s.  Quiros finished in joint last place with Lucas Bjerregaard and Daniel Gaunt who were picks.

As the FedEx Cup winds up for its finale, the Fantasy League returns to Europe where it is starting to pick up for the Race to Dubai Finals Series.  More big names are appearing as they fall out of the FedEx Cup shakeup and look to get a headstart on Ryder Cup qualifying.

The field is headlined by former winner Martin Kaymer with Jamie Donaldson being the only other representative from the top 50.  The defending champion is absent this year as Paul Casey is still in the running for the FedEx Cup.  Other former winners in the field are Joost Luiten who became the first Dutchman to win since Martin Lafeber back in 2003.  Luiten is joined by a number of other past champions who include Peter Hanson, the aforementioned Kaymer, Darren Clarke, Ross Fisher, Sven Struver, and Miguel Angel Jimenez.  Other winners from the last 10 or so years that are missing include course specialist and multiple winner Simon Dyson, Gonzalo FDez-Castano, and David Lynn.

There are three Categories where you will need pick three players, plus reserve, from each one.  There are bonus points available if you get all of your picks through in any category.  Get all 9 picks through and you get an even bigger bonus.  It's all way down at the bottom in the scoring section if you are interested.

This is a full field with cut event, cut points will be available; see above.

RULES

Picking players: Unless stated, pick a total of 9 players as follows:

Pick 3 players from each category, plus a reserve per category.

Event winner: The person with the most total points at the completion of each event will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, those involved will match-off each picks' final position score in descending order. i.e. Player A's best finish vs. Player B's best finish, Player A's 2nd best finish vs. Player B's 2nd best finish, etc... until one's pick finishes better than the other(s).

If there is a tie after all 9 picks have been matched against each other, those involved will be declared co-winners.

Order of Merit: The person with the most total points at the completion of the season will be declared the Fantasy League Champion. If there is a tie for total points at the completion of the season, those involved will be declared Co-Champions.

Player Withdrawals: If you pick a player who withdraws during a tournament, that player will be eligible for points for all completed rounds and making the cut if they withdraw after the cut. It must be apparent that the player completed their round for them to be eligible for either the low round, worse round, top 5, or top 10 low round scores.  If a player withdraws before starting the tournament then your reserve will be put in that player's place. It is up to you to
check that your players are in the starting field.

Holidays / Absences: If you will be absent for an upcoming event (e.g holidays) you may post the numbers on the most recent fantasy league event and the respective tournament(s) that apply or PM them to me.  Example: Pick 3 players and 1 reserve from each category and the relative event number or name: Players 4, 5, and 8, reserve 9 from Category A, players 1, 3, and 7, reserve 5 from Category B, players 1, 2 and 17, reserve 12 from Category C, Event #12.

Failure to submit picks: If you do not submit picks you will be awarded zero points.

Deadlines: Picks must ideally be submitted before the first drive is struck on the first day of the tournament.  However, late picks submitted after the tournament has begun must be for players who have yet to start (or are not showing a score on europeantour.com, PGATour.com, etc.), and these will not be valid unless they are seconded by any other league member.

All fantasy league disputes and discrepancies will be considered by the League Judge: LadyPutt. All decisions made by the League Judge are final.

Super, I've had comments in the past about the Fantasy League being PGA Tour centric but some European Tour fields have been / are awful and you'd be better off making selections with a pin

Grumpy, I always make my selections with a pin, but nice to have a Euro event for a while, stops Mac from taking his usual glory hunting picks.

Always like this event, usually played on interesting courses. Kennemer is one of my favourites as well, real old school. Just looked on their website and at €100 a round it might be worth a trip, very close to Schipol could use some air miles and do a day trip from London.

This is a tough field to pick, with the likes of Tyrell Hatton all the way up in Cat A, there are going to be some randoms in Cat B and C.

Scoring was low at Kennemer Golf & Country Club as over 100 players are at par or better. The low round score was 61 and for a time a possible 59 watch was started due to the fast start that Paul Lawrie got off to. Lawrie's round was tied by Wade Ormsby who finished just as strong as Lawrie started. At the other end of the leaderboard Carlos Del Moral had a bad day at the office. He finished with an 80 and promptly withdrew. Scores of 63 were needed to reach the top five low round scores and all five players that shot 63 were Fantasy League picks.

In the Fantasy League CJB looks like he was playing the Countdown numbers game with one of the low scores, one from the worst scores, and one from the top five low round scores. He leads from Hibbz who got off to a fast start with three of his picks in the points. 1GrumpyGolfer, AlciG, Beninho, EmmDee57, and SetupDetermines all had two picks score points. Eyetoldyouso and LadyPutt received points for good and bad play; they squeak ahead of BlueCoverman, Kwinigolfer, Pedro, Raycastleunited, and Super_Realist who all had one pick score points.

I agree with that. I think we should ask everyone to give players' full names when they pick in future - I know it's a pain when they are in a hurry but it avoids situations like this.

What a difference a day makes. Round 1 saw Matthew Fitzpatrick hit eight fairways and fourteen greens in his 71.  In round two he hit one more fairway and green and shot 60!  Fitzpatrick was picked by over half of the Fantasy Leaguers.

The cut line moved to -3 close to the end of play sending another four picks home early and impacting cut bonus points for several Fantasy Leaguers.  No one managed the full set and the highest number of picks through to the weekend was seven which is what four Fantasy Leaguers have left.  EmmDee57, Kwinigolfer, LadyPutt, and SirBenson all have the seven but SirBenson earned two cut bonuses.  1GrumpyGolfer, AlciG, Beninho, CJB, Eyetoldyouso, Hibbz, McLaren, Super_Realist, and TheCleaver all have six picks left and out of this bunch only 1GrumpyGolfer and Eyetoldyouso failed to earn a cut bonus.  Davie, I'm Never Wrong, Owen10ozzy, Pedro, and SetupDetermines all have five picks left and out of this group SetupDetermines earned a cut bonus.  BlueCoverman and Raycastleunited both have four picks left.

David Van Den Dungen had the worst round of the day with a 78.

Thirteen players shot 65 or lower which was the threshold for the top 10 low round scores. Eleven of those were picks and plenty of points were dished out. Two players shot 62 to tie for the low round of the day; both of them, Thomas Pieters and Mikko Ilonen, were picks. AlciG, CJB, LadyPutt, and Pedro earned bonus points from their fine play. CJB had two other picks score points and extended his lead at the top of the leaderboard. AlciG, LadyPutt, and Pedro all had another pick score points while EmmDee57, Hibbz, SirBenson, and Super_Realist also had two picks score points. SirBenson also had another pick score points but it was for poor play. Beninho, Davie, McLaren, Raycastleunited, SetupDetermines, and TheCleaver all had one pick score points. McLaren, like SirBenson also had another pick score points from poor play. I'm Never Wrong also earned points from poor play too.

Lucas Bjerregaard shot 77 to earn points for I'm Never Wrong, McLaren, and SirBenson. Alvaro Quiros also shot 77.

LadyPutt finished with a frenzy landing a 1,2,5 punch that blitzed the chasing pack and capped a dominating performance. LadyPutt actually had four picks score just like CJB, I'm Never Wrong, and SirBenson but they couldn't match the quality. Beninho, Hibbz, Kwinigolfer, and TheCleaver had three picks of varying quality score points. AlciG, Davie, EmmDee57, McLaren, Pedro, and Super_Realist all had two picks score points; AlciG also had Thomas Pieters but his haul was the still some way off of LadyPutt's. BlueCoverman, Eyetoldyouso, Owen10ozzy, Raycastleunited, and SetupDetermines all had one pick score points.

Robert Dinwiddie had the round of the day with a 62. Three players, Martin Kaymer (a popular pick), Alvaro Quiros, and Jason Barnes shared the worst round score with 74s. Quiros finished in joint last place with Lucas Bjerregaard and Daniel Gaunt who were picks.
