Man Utd - The Gaalacticos thread
Didn't catch the match but I assume United were not that great? Two goals in three matches... for all the criticism given to the backline, the forwards have not covered themselves in glory

You say that but it was he who linked with Di Maria for his shot and the one he set Mata up. Also he who had one cleared off the line.
Got a header at goal from a Fletcher cross.
He was probably the most productive of the front 3.

Just think he slows down play when he comes short, comes short too often and is limited in his passing

3-5 Ramieres.
Everton's defenders legs have gone, they've been terrible for the last 2 goals.

Is Shaw meant to be back after the international break?
I'd expect Mata will play and that Di Maria will, rightfully for me, be deployed a little deeper

Not sure about shaw.
Trying to fit all the players we've signed in.
Do think he may want to use di Maria in central midfield again.
Unless he plays
Jones Rojo blind
At the back he's going to struggle to fit them all in.

Re: Man Utd - The Gaalacticos thread
I still think another pretty decent name will join tomorrow whilst Kagawa, Cleverley and Hernandez will leave.
Everyone's laughing that we've spent all this money and can still only draw 0-0 v Burnley but only 1 new player is actually playing at the moment and we're ravaged by injuries. Get the new guys in and the injuries back and it's looking much better, the players will start to gel, they'll be getting used to LVGs methods and we'll start to see the fruits of his labour.
Looking like Rene is coming back into the coaching setup too which is great news.

Can see De Jong coming in, though I wouldn't be thrilled with it. Do not like him as a player.
Great news about Rene, was apparently a fantastic coach.

Hope not.
Most places reporting 12.5.
Did day 8 on some sites before the weekend though.

£6.3m pretty much everywhere
Dortmund would never pay anywhere near £12m for the flop Kagawa.

Not seen 6.3 million anywhere.
Be taking the urine a bit to let him go for that little.
Anyway he has gone - I wonder who else will be following him by midnight tomorrow.

With LVG it doesn't matter what position they are, just that they're left footed, stick me anywhere after that.

I don't get why LVG would throw a young kid under the bus for being a little out of shape like he did tbh. And I could understand if Shaw was peeved about it!

Re: Man Utd - The Gaalacticos thread
Yeah.
He just made him do se extra fitness drills as he wasn't fit enough to play wing back and had less sessions than the other lads due to being at the World Cup.
I'd be more worries that he's bought two left wing backs than the fitness comments!

Rojo has been bought as centre back while Blind will cover left back and central midfield, once he's fit Shaw will be in the first team.

Could well do.
Could also be a youngster with a lot of miles on the clock and no break this summer.
Have to see if players keep getting jnjured under lvg.

Well you do seem to have an awful awful amount of injuries Ent!
And making a guy do extra fitness sessions is asking for a muscle strain really. Especially as you said he's basically had no break

Aye but a lot of the players were injured before lvg arrived, Evans, carrick etc
If it keeps happening I'll worry but if we are very fit all season I'll be delighted.
Falcao rumours, well I'd be amazed.
If we have and are willing to spend that cash we should offer Dortmund big money for hummels and see how they react. Though I am suspicious about why we let kagawa go so cheap to them - perhaps we will have first option on some players next summer?

Re: Man Utd - The Gaalacticos thread
Odds on Falcao to Utd have plummeted, great player but probably the last position we need atm unless both Hernandez and Welbeck going, still would have preferred a decent understudy there and a world class defender.

Even if Hernandez and Welbeck are going we have RVP and Rooney.
