Thought I'd whip one up for this Pool A match. Cheika giving the rest of the squad a chance to show what they can muster.
Should be a sunny afternoon at Villa Park.

Currently 12-0 to Australia, very well worked tries from McMahon and Tomane. But Quade Cooper has just been sent to the sin bin for a high tackle.

Australia going from one touchline to the other, moving the amateurs of Uruguay around, and despite the fact they are making mistakes they will wear them down with this approach. The floodgates will definitely open at some point.

That pass before the knock on from Tomane... what a bullet.
They tend to be a little over-exuberant. Need to cool it down a touch and get it right.
Cooper will never learn....

Yep.. They need to play this game with the same concentration levels (discipline-wise) they'd play against a stronger side. Tough to do I know with such an opposition, and the tenancy is to 'play'. But exuberant 7s rugby will not be the game winning a WC. So they need to keep up good practices.

Wake up! This is a World Cup... some really dim-witted errors.
Any problem with even trying to get into a more ready position to salvage a slightly wayward pass? Seems not.

Quade Cooper playing a great game but missing some easy kicks at goal. Well what would normely be easy for him.

Yeah. I'd also ask him to close his mouth every now and then. Or else the last swallow of early autumn might fly in.
Poor old Will. Jeez... he needs to look at himself in the mirror a bit more.
145kgs and he can't make a bust? What's he made of? Marshmellow?

Anyone else bored of 'swing low' being sang at every match, even the ones not involving England? In case you hadn't seen, the wheels came off the chariot last night .

That's as low as a chariot gets. Song is still legit

Australia are actually making life difficult for themselves by destroying the scrum so much - they don't have a stable platform to play off!

Aus 2nd string running riot here, I'm beginning to get worried. What do Aussies make of the pool after last night's game?

I have to say Australia have not score as many points/tries as i thought they would have.
And Quade Coopers kicking at goal as been bloody awful.

It obviously came in disguised as a cigarette lighter, two glass bottles and a handful of squibs

Why as Bag pipes been banned from rugby grounds? If i am not mistaken at the last (FOOT BALL WORLD CUP) they allowed those bloody googoozellas (spelling) and they sounded a lot worst than Bag pipes do.

Vuvuzelas are merely bagpipes with golf balls stuck in the tubes.

Uruguay the only team in the RWC not to have scored a try so far.

Re: Australia v Uruguay, 27 September
Mumm and Mitchell showing their class. Need to have players with their Euro experience on the finisher's bench - or even as starters.
The rest are too scatty and inconsistent for my liking. Save for Kuridrani and Speight... who looks like he needs a confidence boost to regather his potential form. Both are pretty awesome when they get going. Disappointed with Beale especially. Almost as if he's trying too hard but it's not coming off like it used to.
