It was no bluff, NZ revealed a score of tactics. The midfield double act of Savea and SBW, and using Coles as a winger, the deeper attack and so forth. They gave a lot away, but little of it came off. Sloppy and disorganised. Aaron Smith was anxious and hasty, rather than composed and speedy, Carter was just slow and dozy. It was a car crash that will have the coaches very worried.
Yeah...like I said, Oscar quality stuff
They have been putting a lot into Savea, his side of the field, and letting him come into the middle more, which could be utterly brilliant, just one little problem, hes now forgotten how to be a winger.
Have to admit it, having the wingers run at the midfield defence and the forwards play wing started to look a little ill thought through by the 65 minute mark.

Savea played well today. Best game for him so far and back into some form maybe. Naholo showed a piece of sublime brilliance backed up by not so sublime mistakes. Shame he got injured when he did as learning to be an AB at a RWC is not such a good thing. Maybe NMS and Naholo play against Tonga? It must suck to be Hansen to have to make these decisions.

Ok, it's official.
Not only are the ABs beatable. According to English media, the ABs are 'eminently' beatable. That's a whole other level of beatable. This is saying, the ABs are to 'a notable degree' beatable. Or that there's a high probability that they will be beaten. Maybe dongle is right. France or Ireland will beat them in the quarters. France and Ireland have been amazing so far as they've swept to convincing wins against strong opposition.
Time to panic
"James Corrigan in the London Daily Telegraph
New Zealand became the first team to qualify for the knock-out stages, but did so with the shrug of the frustrated and concerned rather than the swagger of reigning champions.
On this showing - and, indeed, on the two games before - the tournament favourites are eminently beatable."

James is also wrong in saying who was first to qualify - I think that was France.
It must be his intern that wrote up the thing.

Speaking of France, is Guy Noves already coaching them? I thought I heard his name mentioned recently...

I doubt he'd be so ungentlemanly as to turn up before Saint-André left. He's taking over after the WC and his name has been mentioned once or twice during it.

You called it Fly, well done.
The ABs dropping every third ball was a bluff and part of the game plan to give future opponents something to talk about. That's a relief. So the ABs are beatable but maybe not eminently beatable after all.
...........
Fox revealed the All Blacks brain trust had slightly altered the game structure against Georgia in a bid to keep rival nations guessing.
"We very deliberately went to another structure because it's something we've been looking at trying.
"What we did in the first few games was quite prescriptive and a lot of sides would have said 'Ok, we've seen that, what else have they got'. We went somewhere else tonight and it's the first time we've done it.
"And it's not majorly different but it's subtly different. There were parts of it that were good and parts of it that didn't go quite so well."
Fox said the coaching staff will review the playing structure changes and decide "which was the better of the two - or do we mix them up a little bit to make sure the opponents are struggling to get a handle on where we are going to go".

Easy, by the use of stealth, cunning and mirrors.
