Munster v Ulster 30/10/15
Munster Rugby v Ulster Rugby
Friday 30th October 2015
Thomand Park, 6pm Kick-off
Live on TG4 and BBC NI
Referee- Marius Mitrea (FIR)
Assistants-Gary Conway and Nigel Correll (IRFU)
TMO- Alan Rogan (IRFU)
Big interpro clash here, early on in the season both teams can really use it to springboard off if they win, overshadowed in the overall by the world cup final weekend but to supporters of either province much more important. How do we think it will go?
Teams
Munster: Andrew Conway; Simon Zebo, Francis Saili, Denis Hurley, Gerhard van den Heever; Ian Keatley, Tomás O'Leary; James Cronin, Mike Sherry, BJ Botha; Dave Foley, Mark Chisholm; CJ Stander (capt), Jack O'Donoghue, Robin Copeland.
Replacements: Duncan Casey, John Ryan, Mario Sagario, Donnacha Ryan, Jordan Coghlan, Duncan Williams, Rory Scannell, Ronan O'Mahony.
Ulster: Peter Nelson; Craig Gilroy, Darren Cave, Stuart McCloskey, Andrew Trimble; Paddy Jackson, Paul Marshall; Andrew Warwick, Rob Herring (capt), Wiehahn Herbst, Lewis Stevenson, Franco van der Merwe, Roger Wilson, Sean Reidy, Nick Williams.
Replacements: John Andrew, Callum Black, Ricky Lutton, Dan Tuohy, Chris Henry, Paul Rowley, Ian Humphreys, Sammy Arnold

No Ludik. Stevenson ahead of Tuohy now? Great to Henry back. Very much needed!
Our away form has been dire, but Munster's form hasn't been great either, even though they have edged a few wins. Regardless of away form, this should be a game that Ulster give it their all, as will Munster, and I think it will be tight. Think Munster will edge it though.

I think Tuohy is being brought back slowly as he was concussed last weekend.

Doh! Don't know how I forgot that. He didn't look too good coming off.

Re: Munster v Ulster 30/10/15
Surely Zebo would be first choice fullback ahead of Conway?
Anybody got a view on Saili yet (haven't seen him play yet myself).
Very early kick off (probably due to the rwc loser-bowl being on tonight - one day Ireland might manage to just miss out on that like always).
Is the RWC final tomorrow? If it is then pro12 missed a trick not having all these games on Sunday and really promoting the hell out of the league during the rwc finals day.

Crap.... I genuinely didn't know the 3rd place game was on tonight! Thanks for the valuable update there, bandwagon. For some reason I felt sure it was tomorrow.

Wrong game to watch for any of that, Fly. Ulster don't do either of those things anymore, especially not away from home. Expect an error-ridden, stop-start, penalty ridden affair. Of course I could be wrong and Ulster decide to play rugby. I doubt it though.

This is starting in a few min, at 6. Early for a friday night game.
The weather is bad so that should help Munster by nullifying Ulsters backline.

It's just in case they get a full house by having the game at a time when people from cork could make it

Tactics from Munster seem to be to make Craig look as good as possible.

This is a comedy of errors from both sides.

It is one of those games..... attack one side, mistake/infringement ...attack the other side...mistake/infringement...

At least Ulster managed a couple of minutes without a mistake....The Munster team would be put to shame by the J2's in any club.

Maybe... but I was expecting a lot more sludge of a game than this is turning out to be. A blow out for both sides anyway.

Re: Munster v Ulster 30/10/15
Well three Try's each in the first half. We have the advantage with the wind at our backs in the second half, and the games there to be won, but our defence has been really soft. Needs to be sorted.

Well played Munster!
Think losing Trimble along with the obvious indiscipline didn't help us.

Is the game worth watching? Or were both teams playing in clown shoes?
