Salary Cap Empty Salary Cap

Post by george doors Thu Nov 05, 2015 11:56 am

Quins Statement:

TO ASSURE OUR SUPPORTERS WHO MIGHT NOT HAVE HEARD OUR RESPONSE LAST WEEK TO THE SALARY CAP, WE CAN CONFIRM THAT HARLEQUINS FULLY SUPPORTS THE CAP AND ITS PLACE WITHIN THE LEAGUE.
The implementation of the Cap enables the Aviva Premiership to be among the most competitive leagues in world sport, aiming to provide a level playing field, whilst also protecting the sustainability of Clubs.
As a Club, we welcome the introduction of additional safeguards within the 2016/17 and 2017/18 Salary Cap Framework that are designed to increase enforceability and transparency and we look forward to working alongside our fellow clubs to ensure we never find ourselves in this position again.
As we have previously stated, every season we endeavour to spend up to the Salary Cap and not a penny more. We will continue to do so under the new Framework.

Nice to see Quins playing the game. How do the 2 teams that we all know break the salary cap get away with it?
