The thread is fairly late but what the hey.
This is usually a good high scoring game and we've 2 fairly experimental teams out so there could be some scores in this one.Bookies have Leinster as 10 point favourites which seems very high and you also have to factor in that the Scarlets have unsportingly decided to have a tight enough defense this season.Hoping for a good game that Leinster win.

Should be interesting to see how Kelleher and Ringrose do tonight. Should be a decent game.

Jake Ball unfairly binned.

Re: Leinster v Scarlets
So let me get this straight. Dom Ryan gives away two penalties in his 22, the second one for bringing down the maul and gets let off. Scarlets first penalty of the game, given away by Jake Ball for bringing down the maul in his 22 and he gets a yellow card? That's a really bad call, and one made by the crowd rather than the ref. Sort it out ffs Hodges!

For the sake of consistency, it was unfair.

What's the "can't take the receiver" rule at the breakdown?

Jebus if Chunky was worried about Refs who were biased old Leighton has been a great example.

Looked to me like he was running backwards while being held and simply fell over.

Wrong man was binned. Another player collapsed the maul from the side.

Aye, or a Leinster player tripped up and accidently collapsed it. Was moving at a rate of knots. Couldn't tell if a Terk player was infringeing.

Re: Leinster v Scarlets
Scarlets look the better team so far. I think they would be ahead by more if it wasn't for some inconsistent calls by Hodges. So far they've given away 3 penalties for high tackles, but I'm yet to count 1. The game is going a bit soft if they count as a high/dangerous tackle! I don't think Hodges is biased, I think he is a bit intimated by a vocal RDS crowd and Leinster's pedigree - ergo he's out of his depth. That said it's still quite an exciting game.

Great. Everytime I try to get rugby on the TG4 player I get either a GAA game or some GAA chat. Don't know why that is but it's happened more than once. Maybe they think I didn't try hard enough when I was doing Peig at school.

Its actually painful to watch SOB because all he does with the ball is look to hurt the nearest defender...usually ineffectually. And Isaac Boss is just ing. They need to bring on Sexton because Madigan is having one of those unspeakable type of games.

Re: Leinster v Scarlets
SOB is so inconsistent now and seems like the perfect Irish player - has one big game and then pedestrian for the rest. Heaslip is just always pedestrian. Cian Healy has been crap since he has been back. I would honestly keep Conan and VdF in the back row who are both in great form and clearly are trying to show the coaches they want a place on the team; let the experienced heads work their way back in and prove they actually want the jersey. Some of them know they aren't going to lose it and it shows.

Isn't this a 'working their way back in' though, Rory? What games can they get? Healy only came back on the scene what? four or five games ago? If he's going to continue to work himself back, Pro12 would be the vehicle.

He is shocking, and has single handedly kept Leinster in the game. Leinster will win this as a result.

Yes, but I do hope there will be room for the younger players to get a chance to prove themselves again instead of being dropped until the next international window. Especially when the players ahead of them are not playing as well as they are.

Owens can't throw, it's why he has never been first choice for Wales and could slip down the pecking order at Scarlets too.
