@George that video isn't available in England?!
Was Stampy Stamperson cited for that incident, incidentally? Not good for fans of St George to have to see that one again.

Don't think you get cited for freeing your foot from a cheating player trying to keep you out of a phase of play.

Did he strike the player in any way while doing so?
There's certainly plenty precedent for that.

One thing is for certain.
Glasgow cannot afford to get isolated and must compete at the breakdown.
Saints demolished the Scarlets in this area last week. And that was with Barclay playing

Re: Champions Cup Pool 3: Glasgow Warriors v Northampton Saints, 21 November
That's a very physical Saints backline against a fairly lightweight Glasgow one.
If Saints can stop Glasgow getting go-forward through their pack and (somehow) limit Nakarawa's offloads then Glasgow could be in for a long afternoon.

Am very keen for Big Tacky to face off against George North.
Probably the only time this year North will have given away 2 stones to his opposite number.

It's going to be pretty cold but thankfully dry. Hope these Glasgow players will take their gloves off as i don't particularly fancy them come scrum time.

Lamont in ahead of Big T. Slightly surprised byt that, as it's otherwise a pretty attacking Glasgow team.

Tualu in for Ken Pisi is a big call. Can only assume Ken is injured, would rather see Jamie Elliott there to be honest. Really hope George Pisi steps up this week, woeful against Scarlets.
Can't remember Paterson starting a competitive game before either. And still no Hartley.

Probably down to Big Tacky's defensive frailties. Frail is not an adjective you would normally associate with our rather large antipodean winger but he seems to drift (in a very fast aggressive way:shock: ) out of position a wee bit .funnyExiledScot wrote:Lamont in ahead of Big T. Is Hartley injured or is he sitting on another naughty step?

Why would Glasgow get into an arm wrestle with the Saints pack?
That isn't how we've played for a full season now. It's time to offload and run them around so let's hope that it stays dry.
Swinson and Wilson is a fast but lightweight set of forward replacements, so I hope that the gameplan works because this means we don't have a Plan B.
Other than the Plan B of getting Big Tacky onto the pitch and giving him the ball 5 metres out...

I haven't heard officially but I think it's related to concussion from the Saracens game.funnyExiledScot wrote:Scottrf wrote:Tualu in for Ken Pisi is a big call. I'm assuming he's still playing since the team was announced today?

Yup, Archie William Hogg, possibly the most Scottish name since the Rt Hon. Hamish Sholto Bawbag MacGorbals DSO DFC OMG won the three-mile race at the Tobermory Highland Games.

Archie Hogg! That's a cracker of a name. As GC has already opined, I see a problem child on the horizon....
Tough gig playing a rugby fixture after going through that. Is Peter Murchie not on hand to be a completely average replacement??

If I ever had a son (no plans any time soon!) our preferred names would lead to him having the initials B.A.W which would pretty much guarantee copious amounts of bullying all the way through school.
Maybe not then!

It's actually a tough assignment, trying to get into the head of playground bullies when choosing a name for your son/daughter!
I should also add that the "no plans any time soon" probably isn't going to be your decision.....from my experience!!

Cracking day for an open, fast game of rugby. No rain since Thursday so a dry track too. Sunny, crisp and cold with no wind.
Need some huge games from our forwards - Grant and Puafisi in particular- but all need to contribute- a Captains game from JG too (we always do tbh!). Some real power off the bench (Big T, Batman and Shrek not forgetting The Vernonator). Will be interesting to see our new hooker Manuvishnilli if he gets on? Pat Mac has played rather a lot of rugby recently - he has played well but may need some help this time v Saints.

Yes not the most exciting of games but I doubt Northampton will mind that at the moment.
