Re: Champions Cup Pool 1: Ulster v Saracens, 20 November
Whatever about the rules being relaxed the annoying thing when comparing the Payne red with today's incident is that with Payne he had eyes on ball and had the basket ready.
Today we had a player who was not targeting a ball but a player. He git his timing si badly wrong he charged the player in the air under one leg.
Surely the punishment should take into consideration if a hit was made badly or a catch was badly timed without awareness of surroundings.
Never agreed with the landing being the decider. Never will.

Chunky usually does analysis on these things after the game, I'd wait for that.

28 mins 17's in, watch Barrett run into the tackle and bind with his left then swing in for a punch on the jackalling player with his right, then have a second go.

I tried making a genuine comment up above which got lost in the guff. Can we do the childish stuff in PMs please?? So the a proper discussion can happen?

I get the feeling Chunky may only do his "analysis" on one team and with just one eye...

In fairness to both teams, it's not exactly the weather for glorious running rugby. It was bloody snowing not so long ago

So a kick that is caught and becomes a maul always goes to the carrying team, I didn't know that.

I think Les Kiss told Henderson to hide in the first half and then destroy everything in sight for the second half.

Gilroy is far too weak positionally, defensively and his kicking game is awful.

I'm sorry but Healy was wrong there, his arm was straight and the impact was all with the shoulder. SBW got Poopie loads of yellows for that kind of thing.

I disagree (hate to when it's Saracens) but I didn't think his arm was straight. Looked worse than it was because it was two big blokes.yappysnap wrote:I'm sorry but Healy was wrong there, his arm was straight and the impact was all with the shoulder. I can't even say with great confidence that the result would have been different had the Sarries received a deserved red card when they have managed to score 2 tries against us with 14 men.
We should be able to beat them with a full strength side anyway. They are better than us in every way.

I am worried about the defensive organisation of the teams that play under Les Kiss to be honest. I would also like to know why Iain Henderson was utilised in the wing for the large majority of the game, does he want him to be Peter O'Mahony or something?

I think it's funny that you make this comment directly below an Ulster fan saying so. Your attempt to trap ulster fans into not appearing as whingers was defeated from the get go.
