OK, your earlier comment about Lacey was funniest thing I have read this month - this one perhaps the most confusing.

Twice this match Simpson stripped S.Armitage of the ball. Steffon might be good on the ground (though no turnovers today), but he seems to have work to do holding onto his own ball.

Toulon are looking desperate in search of points. Wasps could pick off the bonus point yet.

Steffons arms have to reach round his gut when trying to hold on to the ball.

So the tackler is allowed to leave the ruck having been beaten to the ball, but stay on the wrong side?

And eagle eyed Lacey spots the infringement to give Wasps another 5m penalty. Surely they can score now?

Nope. But a lineout gives them another chance and Lacey is right on the spot to award the bonus point try.

Derek Richardson must be rightly chuffed at what he's achieved with this team.
32-6.
Wasps are looking like strong contenders for the Franglo Cup.

Great performance from Wasps - Bonus point win against Toulon? Who else has done that?
Has starting the season later worked to the English clubs advantage? Certainly this year the english clubs look far more competitive than in previous years

Wasps certainly had one of the best value for money recruitment with Halai, Smith, Jackson and piutau (the opposite of Toulon new props!). Toulon is an average team without Giteau.

Not sure I'd go as far as average.
They're a French team away end of the day, complete different beast in France. They're missing some key players in the front 5 and can also start Vermeulen, Nonu, Gorgodze, Mitchell, Halfpenny etc etc.

Agree Welly. I have no idea why Toulon weren't knocking on Ayerza's door asking him to name his price. Tigers I'm sure brought out the cheque book but Toulon have a significantly bigger bank balance to play with.
I'd not be surprised to see a number of tight five signings appearing next summer.
