Haye Teams Up With Shane McGuigan
Anyone still care? Will he fight more than once a year? Who will he come back against? Questions, questions...

I do care, if he actually fights.
I think he will look for a short cut to fight Deontay Wilder. After he beats him, superfight vs Joshua??

Rather pointless for all concerned fighting Scott. He'd fall over as soon as Haye threw a punch.

TBRB ratings:
Champion Wladimir Klitschko 64-3-0 (53) UKR
1 Alexander Povetkin 30-1-0 (22) RUS
2 Tyson Fury 24-0-0 (18) ENG
3 Deontay Wilder 35-0-0 (34) USA
4 Kubrat Pulev 20-1-0 (11) BUL
5 Bermane Stiverne 24-2-1 (21) CAN
6 Carlos Takam 31-2-1 (24) CMR
7 Vyacheslav Glazkov 21-0-1 (13) UKR
8 Bryant Jennings 19-1-0 (10) USA
9 Steve Cunningham 28-7-1 (13) USA
10 Anthony Joshua 14-0-0 (14) UK
Of that lot, Stiverne might be a decent shout (but Browne would provide the necessary target practice first).

I would of thought Scott would be top ten.
Especially after defeating TT.
Stiverne would be a great shout. Ex champ and all that. Haye could box circles around him. Perhaps he could do what Wilder didn't do and stop him??

When I saw the thread title I thought there must have been a surprise late entrant pairing for strictly. No-one can take a Haye comeback seriously can they? Attention-seeking needy cumquat.

Wow. Fury at 2 in the world?! On what basis?
He has beaten Cunningham....and he struggled with that.

I don't think anyone below him beat anyone more highly rated than Chisora (these ratings tend to be based on beating someone above you in the ratings). None of the others holds a decent win between them.

Fury at No2, how British Heavyweight greats, Banjo, Quarless, Garside and Currie must wish they where around now, all about the same level as Fury .

Re: Haye Teams Up With Shane McGuigan
Yep. The ratings are garbage.
Id have Wilder above Fury. Has a better win in Stiverne and is a current "World Champ" (take that lightly)....should be 2.....Fury will hopefully disappear in the next 2 weeks.
Joshua coming through is a good sign though, long may it continue because he seems to have a bag of talent on every level at Heavy......big lad, no fat, massive puncher.....a baby face to go with it....a marketing demons dream

Stiverne is hopeless. Worse than Chisora or Cunningham. I think he might the worst heavyweight title holder of all time.

You've never see Bruce seldon fight then catchy? To be fair there are a lot of competitors for this particular award... Most of them recent.
Though even in the heyday of the sport we ended up with Leon spinks as world champion.

Re: Haye Teams Up With Shane McGuigan
Looks like Bellew fancies a few quid before he retires. Must be music to Haye's ears. This would be such an easy sell to general public.
Tony Bellew has put his hand up as a potential opponent for David Haye, should the two-weight world champion make a return to boxing.
Haye this week announced he has linked up with Carl Frampton's trainer Shane McGuigan, fuelling talk of a comeback more than three years since his last professional bout.
The 35-year-old has not been seen in a competitive fight since knocking out Dereck Chisora in July 2012, and injuries have twice scuppered a huge heavyweight clash with Tyson Fury.
Fury challenges for Wladimir Klitschko's three world titles on Sky Sports Box Office, but Bellew has offered Haye an alternative all-British clash - albeit back down at cruiserweight or a pre-agreed catchweight.
"I would like to fight David Haye, yes," Bellew told World Boxing News. "He's the most successful cruiserweight the country has ever produced and the only man since Evander Holyfield to unify the cruiserweight division."
Bellew's immediate focus is on Mateusz Masternak, who he takes on for the vacant European title on the undercard of Anthony Joshua's Sky Sports Box Office meeting with Dillian Whyte.
But beyond that his sights are set on a meeting with Haye, who sparred with Bellew when he was on the road to winning the WBA, WBC and WBO belts at cruiserweight.
He said: "I believe if David [Haye] wants it enough he can come back down to cruiserweight. He's a good athlete and a top fighter, but he's shown on various occasions that he's vulnerable. I'm a different animal at cruiserweight and I believe I can knock him out.
"We could fight at a catchweight, but that all depends on what we can agree as me versus him is a big fight. We've sparred together before so he knows what I'm about and how good I can be. But that was ten years ago and I've improved massively since then, plus I believe he was in his prime back then.
"I'm after big fights and if it means putting on a few pound to face a great fighter then I'm all for it. My last word on this is: 'David, I'm ready when you are!'"

Bellew v Haye, should last 1 round, 2 if Haye's feeling a little generous.
The fight could take place on Red Nose day with Lenny Henry refereeing.

Maybe it's a duet with Bellew instead.... The lyrics read like the perfect prefight press conference...
You're a bum
You're a punk
You're an old slut on junk
Lying there almost dead on a drip in that bed
You scumbag, you maggot etc

Tomasz Adamek would be a sensible comeback fight, he's a decent name, not too big, and past it.

Re: Haye Teams Up With Shane McGuigan
A good comeback platform would be as chief support (been gone too long to be classed worthy of a co-headline spot) on the Frampton/Quigg undercard.
Seen the interview and he still looks in decent nick, hasn't taken too much punishment in his career, most of the fighters around him are sh!te so it's not beyond the realms of possibility that he could be fast-tracked to a title shot. Just a question of whether or not he's serious (I think he is, surely he wouldn't go to the effort of taping up his hands and roping in Shane for the video just to pull the wool over our eyes again?)

But there's no hiding who you truly lust after.
