It really was, JJ was a better 10 than Keatley before he left. Massive loss to Munster.

It looked like that. But a subsequent angle shows Cole pushing the Munster 6 who then collides with the Leicester 5 who 'stumbles' backward into Conway.
It was street smart by Cole - thems the breaks.

To be fair, Cole did nudge him but only slightly and certainly not as hard as the Munster 6Pot Hale wrote:Cyril wrote:Wasn't the first offence a push by a Munster player?Pot Hale wrote:Poite gave Leicester that try with his decision on the block on Conway. It was quite deliberate.

Nice bit of sniping by Youngs there
Good to score when down to 14 too. Munster's defence parted like the Red Sea though.

Which doesn't change the fact they have to stay on their feet.

There was some pushing and shoving and Fitzgerald gets knocked into Conway it's a whole load of nothing.
That's never a yellow card. "Third penalty for dangerous play or tackle" when were the other two?

The Munster players being driven back hit the deck and the bound on Tigers players went with them.

Munster just look uncomfortable when they have the ball. Apart from the odd break, they just don't appear to be functioning at all.

There's too many players from both sides talking to Poite. It just gets irritating to watch and listen to.

Aaarrgh we're nine points up and one try away from TBP. What the hell are we doing kicking three we've smashed them with the rolling maul.

Easier than expected for the Tigers. Probably will be a bit disappointed not to get a bonus point.
Excellent win though.

I think they were more concerned about making sure that Munster didn't get a LBP and couldn't force a nervous few minutes. I'd have liked some more ambition there.
Nice to see Camacho finally get his debut and Thacker get on and get involved. Ballsy throw to the tail on his first throw and in our 22. Fantastic result and a great team effort. So happy after the limp dross that was our best effort last season this is so good to watch.

Congrats Leicester. Deserved victory.
Munster simply not good enough for this year.
They've a bit to go yet in creating a team that wins honours.

Re: Champions Cup Pool 4: Munster v Leicester Tigers, 12 December
Just turned the match on in time to see the last three minutes. The commentators were saying Munster had 70% possession in the first half. Is that right?
I was catching up on the match by reading the comments on this thread. Were Leicester really better? In Thomond Park? That is remarkable. Thomond is usually a great place to watch Rugby as a visitor if one likes to see their team lose (but with great folk in the stadium).

Leicester looked the better team to me Doc. And yes Munster had loads of pocession first half. Munster didn't look right, not decisive and not that much self belief. Leicester on the other hand looked measured and confident.

A bit of good luck I have to admit but I'm glad the rest of the performance was good enough that no one could reasonably say they didn't deserve the win. As I said before the game I'd have been perfectly happy with 4-1 to Munster so it was a surprise that I started getting greedy towards the end feeling like Tigers should've gone for the TBP.
I'm fully expecting a proper Munster performance next week. Should be a cracker.
