Die Hard I always thought is pretty much the perfect movie. Not "perfect" in the sense that it's the greatest movie of all time or something, but in the sense that I litterally don't think there's anything you can change in that film (with that plot/idea obviously) that would improve it. Certainly Alan Rickman gives arguably the best villain performance you'll ever see.

Agree about Die Hard. Also thought he was brilliant as the Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. Another top notch performance.

I was very surprised to learn today that Die Hard was Alan Rickman's first cinema film. That makes his performance all the more remarkable.

Oh man, terrible news. The two roles I will forever associate him with, Hans Gruber and Severus Snape. Two top class performances from a sensational actor. And that voice, brilliant. RIP.

Dogma - Jay and Silent Bob? Remember watching those films at Uni. Great stuff.

I like most of the Kevin Smith stuff, but Dogma is my favourite, and Alan Rickman is the highlight of it
