Anyone Else Tired Of Khan Now?
First topic message reminder :
I think Khan is very talented, very good boxer and does genuinely want to face the best. It was ultra clear he wanted to take on Mayweather or Pacquiao, however I can't help thinking he has been advised terribly.
If he is so confident of beating Brook for example why on earth didn't he just take a big payday, sell out Wembley, show how financially.viable an opponent he is, actually win a world title and put himself into a position that the likes of Maywether etc. couldn't ignore.
The reason must be one of a few things, he doesn't want to risk losing to the likes of a Brook or Thurman and he's genuinely worried he will. He couldn't be bothered to prove himself as the best contender out there for one of these major fights and thought he could half-ass it against non punching contenders. Or someone was whispering in his ear, "fight him and then I think we can arrange a deal with Floyd" (Haymon most likely)
If its the last one then maybe fair enough, but after chasing for years now and getting nowhere, he's wasted a good chunk of his career, he could be a world champion by now at WW, he's not even been a champion since 2011 (could be wrong can't fully remember when the Garcia fight was) does he not feel after all this time he's messed about far too much? Playing safe is OK but when it's clearly got you nowhere why not just go for it? He won't be in his prime forever... Take 60% against Brook. Does noone else think this is the option he should be taking??

Why should Khan be respectful...Brook isn't towards him.

Nope. Not all, you think Americans enjoying watching a fighter that comes to fight once a year. No chance.
Hes a nobody doesn't fight for his home fans, doesn't fight in his new home of America, holds no belts has had one fight in a year, The Undertaker has had more fights this year in WWE.

Re: Anyone Else Tired Of Khan Now?
Asking a bit late aren't we? I've been tired of Khan since he got KTFO by Garcia.
He's chinny, he's mouthy, he has no wit or charm. He's over-entitled throwing in his name with the likes of Mayweather and Pacquiao. Khan isn't nearly the global draw he makes himself to be, as exemplified when the aforementioned stars ignored his prancing and fought Maidana and Bradley respectively.
In the meantime Khan will continue bullying the fossilised remains of fighters like Collazo and Julio Diaz and continue to act like beating that generation gives him a right to recognition.

Absolutely spot on, Khan, Brook their promoters whoever's to blame should give their heads a shake, its got tedious and boring.TopHat24/7 wrote:Tired of Khan. Tired of Brook.
Neither have provided anything to get excited about in years. Both don't seem to give much of a sh!t about their careers or legacy.
Khan looks the bigger muppet as he signed up to Al scumbag Haymon for his Floyd pay day despite it being clear he was never going to get it (which Al must have know). Khan has had his eye on the Floyd gold for too long, lost to LP because of it as much as the juicing.
I think Brooks talented, but he's doing exactly what Whitter did waiting for Hatton, get on with your own career build your own legacy, and let Khan do what he's going to do, its as easy as that.

So Khan gets $1.5mil for non title fights against Collazo and Algieri whilst Garcia got that for a world title fight against Guerrero, something not quite adding up there.

He gets $1.5mil for the decidedly average Algieri and the best you can come up with is that people want to see him lose.

Berto made $1.5mil for every fight he had and so did Bradley right.........money doesn't always equate to popularity
But yea I'm bored of Khan he's a good fighter but isn't a great fight not just his chin but his talent. Quick hands and good shot selection but poor defence of he can't tie up his opponent he's normally in a pot of trouble
He won't get Mayweather or Pacquiao so I'm happy for him to waste his career ngl

You pick and choose what you like without applying logic, if this was any other fighter that had fought once in the last year, and was continually trying to get big world title fights and putting his name in the mix you would be saying:
"P**s or get off the pot"
Isn't that your favourite line Truss? Why doesn't this apply to Khan? Or as you affectionately call him "the kid" ......?

And Khan barely sold 7000 tickets against Algieri, they were giving them away at the end and had to curtain off half the Barclay Centre.
Only 73000 less than Froch then....

If its such an easy fight, then get the 10 million, fight in front of 80,001 at Wembley (Stick it to Froch) earn a belt which puts you on the map for fighting the winner or Porter vs Thurman, or Garcia vs ??? or a potential opponent when Mayweather comes back or Pacquiao if he decides to carry on.
It's an absolute no brainer, shame he doesn't have a brain
What Brook fight fell through - Matchroom talked about wanting it, Khan has never said he does, I hope you are just as annoyed that my night of fun with Jesssica Alba fell through and are calling her names as I so obviously wanted it....
Why are you certain Pacquiao would have picked him?
Khan can fight Brook in 2-3 fights whilst making 2-3 million fighting whoever and as long as Brook hasn't lost in that time he would still be able to get the 10 million, if he fights him now and loses he wouldn't be able to earn the 2-3 million for the fights that he can now.
Last year he had a chance to fight him instead of Brook fighting Frankie Gavin, Khan could have beat Brook, then he has the fans backing to fight Mayweather plus a belt if he wins.
He chose not to, fought Algeiri and looked horrible
He would have been at the top of the list as an opponent and the fans would be screaming for it, as it turns out he has turned into a bit of a joke

You speak logic. However some will label you a hater. Of course in the last few years Khan could of fought a number of contenders, then Floyd/Manny would have no choice to fight him.
I understand Brook has fought Dross, but he isn't the one claiming Floyd/Manny are running from him.
Also I love to compare Khan's performance against Algieri to Manny's. It fairly puts things in perspective, of the "new and improved" Khan.

Re: Anyone Else Tired Of Khan Now?
I feel for Khan when he beats Maidana but Maidana gets two cracks at Floyd. Tends to suggest Floyd was wary of Khan's speed and didn't fancy working too hard for his millions. Not saying Khan wins but it would have been more interesting than watching Mayweather fight the Guerrero's of this world

Did Maidana not beat someone at Welter and win a title?
Also beat Broner, who was rated highly for some reason.

Not so sure (in the slightest) as Maidana got slapped sideways silly by Alexander, of all people he got stuffed like a christmas turkey against someone who is borderline average. His best win is against, erm, Broner Boner? Not saying much.
