Most dangerous position in Rugby.
Thought there might be some interest in this research carried out on Top14 injuries. The data says the most dangerous position is Hooker whilst Fly Halfs are the most likely to suffer concussion. Assuming the latter is a result of 10s being targetted with big hits.

I am surprised at some of those stats. Back injuries are particularly prevelant in the Front row....especially for the more modern 'taller' props.
Also surprised that kneck injuries arent higher for TH props....but again I suppose they are conditioned specifically for stresses to that area

Mind you I can also understand the half backs thing....I've played in games where pretty much the only tactic is - smash 10. And no.9s are just gobby so smashing them is a bit of a bonus

Most dangerous position if you have a vague connection to England is 12, average survival rate of about 6 caps.

Re: Most dangerous position in Rugby.
From 2000 onwards - you are right - there are probably quite a few with less than 6 caps

Re: Most dangerous position in Rugby.
I always assumed fly half was the most dangerous, as you're at risk from all those Neanderthals in the pack running in to you (sometimes legally).
After that I'd have guessed centre/flanker as they both get through the most work (usually) and are in the most contact, and are usually where the crazies like to hang out.
