Oh dear - would it be perceived as anti-welsh to point out the huge officiating error resulting in that first try? I've predicted a big win for Wales so good for me but that was woeful from the officials.

This will be a long afternoon for Italy. I wish the referees would police the offside line though. Welsh players ahead of the kicker before the try.

Wales miles offside there...should have been a penalty to Italy.

Yeah, that was fairly blatantly offside. Fantastic to see Rhys Webb back and scoring for Wales though!

Not sure what the commentators are on about. That's a blatant yellow!

13-0 after 21 mins.
Wales should be aiming for an average of a point a minute at this rate.

Poite hasn't done much wrong, the issue with the try was with the lineman not calling the offside.
The yellow was right, the scrum half was off side.

Kinda depressing that our under 20s and under 18s have better handling skills than our seniors

Pretty good by Italy. Wakes only manage 3 points for the sin bin.
And then Italy man sausage it up as soon as the 9 comes back on. The Welsh 10 scores.
20-0 with 30 minutes gone.

Forcing it too much. Just need to tighten up and they'll batter them.

Agree yellow was correct for tackling when offside - the only question mark I'd have was where the quick tap was taken from. I thought it had to be from the base of the scrum which I always took to be from behind the no. 8 - but I could be wrong.Shifty wrote:Poite hasn't done much wrong, the issue with the try was with the lineman not calling the offside.

I thought he might have been slightly in front, and maybe it is just my Welsh bias, but I think you are being too nit picky if you are calling him up on that.
That's a nice little move. Good try. This is going to be a massacre.

What language was Lee using whilst trapped on the bottom of a ruck, screaming like a baby.

their going to need a lot of help now from the ref, it's fun to watch but hammering Italy out of sight won't help the competition, or help Wales, as all the failings of Wales this season will be forgotten and forgiven.

You know... If Wales win this game, we SHOULD finish second, which technically means we've done better than last year??? As we only lost one game but finished third.

No chance are the failings going to be forgiven or forgotten.

Agree. Whatever happens with this Welsh inevitable win and the second place, we've been poor in most games other than for brief spells.

Re: 6N 2016: Wales vs Italy - Super Saturday
Interesting that MW questioned the position it was taken too at half time ... maybe my understanding is correct after all. Don't get me wrong I want a big win for my prediction but I'd like to know if my understanding of the laws is correct.Heaf wrote:I thought it was different for scrum pens but it suits me as I predicted a big win ...Shifty wrote:Heaf wrote:Agree yellow was correct for tackling when offside - the only question mark I'd have was where the quick tap was taken from. to the best of my knowledge the mark is in front of the referees feet. You cant take a quick tap if a scrum of pile of bodies are in the way.

Re: 6N 2016: Wales vs Italy - Super Saturday
Still not convinced - you often see the SH throw the ball to the 8 when the ref blows when a scrum collapses. Why else would they do that?
And why would MW have made that comment?
