Sweet, I got a friendly Saturday but haven't played since September last year so might be a bit rusty (and it's gonna be 8 degrees too!)
I'm gonna be really really sad this year and keep my average and try to keep my strike rate too. All part of my quest to be Joe Root

I keep my scores, never bothered with strike rates after I blocked out 1not out of something like 30 balls to help win a game by 1 wicket, so strike rate was shot but Geoffrey would have been so proud!Olly wrote:Marsh wrote:Nice, not had a chinese in yonks

Exceptional work
My worst ever innings happened last year when I got 17 off 51 balls in a 45 over game where 290 played 283

Good going , I usually bat around 8 or 9, so don't normally get much of a bat unless we've collasped, it's usually just the last few overs - hit and hope. I want to post a 50 somehow this year, that's my one aim

What do you bowl?
I bat about 3/4 and sometimes keep - I am fairly consistent in getting 30-60 but I always get tired and just smash one up in the air

Right arm inswing, usually 1st change. Got a couple of 3fers last year but nothing spectacular
I opened the batting last game of the season on the basis there was nothing on the game so we mucked around with the order. Instructions were just to have 'a go' - so I did, my season ended being caught at fine leg for 8 off 4 balls

How do you drive the price down,
1) mind games - Jones is now talking about effectively asset stripping to bring more profits through effeciency.
2) Damage the brand - If you think what someones willi g to do to end up in prison, what are they willing to do to get out. If Ms Investments own Anderson somehow (third party ownership) they could destabilise the company
Bad press leads to share price drops, less to bargain with over price as all assets have been strip.
Boom Takeover complete.
I think i have over thought this
Have to say I love when people over think things because we've seen that Paul Mac puts a lot of stuff in...really liking the financial side of 6CW at the moment and really hope that these things end up being big parts of the show. Liam Wood will be having his say in the future about his wages I'm sure...especially if Joshua loses his belt and he becomes the only Pro-Jones champion.
That being said, I don't know how pro-Jones Wood actually is...he's not really done him any favours and Jones hasn't really helped Wood in matches so I feel like Wood doesn't have any real alliance with him apart from the fact that Jones is in charge.

Hate inswing- can't flick off my legs as I'm not very wristy- anything offside gets pummelled. Opening is awful batting wise, you wanna come in 4/5 and face the Poopie bowlers

I know, after they'd got through the first 10 or so overs they started putting anyone on to bowl, even the keeper had a go, so I missed out there!

The other thing to think about is if you wanted to drive a wedge or create some tension between people, moneys always a good way to do it.
Think about the reaction yesterday
Adamson is gonna be unbearable, Grace is gonna be p1ssed. Take merchandise sales for Megastars Adamson gets double what grace gets in a tag team were both are ewually strong.
Woods definitely gonna question why as EWF champion he is on at least half adamson (i would have thought)
Why is Joshua undisclosed, leads you to think it was Jones that released info, but is it someone setting him for fall.
Also Cameron Faith has one hell of an agent to be on same as Crime Lord and Lex Hart ha ha
I promise tomorrow i will talk about lunch

Re: 6CW Chat v11
Also to add to Nay's point if there is a take over planned then having these figures posted could be a good ploy by the company trying to take over to push through the take over.
The moment I saw the figures my first thought was that Wood wouldn't be happy...for him he wouldn't care about what money he's on but more that someone is seen as more valuable than he is, he calls himself the main event, he calls himself the best and he would want that reflected in his contract and I can see him looking for a new one in the future.
I'm not sure if Paul's claim that this was done out of boredom is true or not but I know for a fact that I'll be referencing it in promos and hope to see more of the background workings like this added as it add's a hint of realism...like the stuff we've seen with CM Punk in WWE and what seems to be happening with Conor McGregor in UFC.
I know for a fact I'll be submitting questions if we get a creative podcast soon haha

Re: 6CW Chat v11
Paul doesn't normally do much without having a reason to do it...for example:
Brian the stuttering, nervous interviewer was revealed as Enigma. Enigma had been around for months and months before the reveal.
The week before Enigma arrived, Brian defended Christy and she called him a hero and he gave a serious look...that is the level of clue hiding we are dealing with when it comes to this creative team.
I cannot see Paul publishing such a big piece of information without it having a reason...there has also been a lot more financial stuff being thrown about during the shows too.

I like that there's an undercurrent of tribal rivalry in the fed, rather than an explicit feud between the old companies. Invasions etc. are all a bit old hat now IMO. It feels more raw somehow, with just the odd dig coming out here and there, and certain little plays on old company loyalties (e.g Cassius and Marshall teaming together)

It's healthy to have. It makes you step up to the next angry level with your promo. Cable was an artist in getting you riled for a promo reaction.

Everyone is surprised at how there seems to be more celebrity deaths than usual, but it you think about it, before the 60's there were probably about 2-3 celebrities in the world, like, Mozart and those ones from Gone with the Wind. So it's just a normal correlation of the age of celebrity getting older.
Imagine in a few more decades when all those ones who just toss pigs off or just do things in Essex and become celebrities start dying. It'll be every day.
Morning all!
In memory of Prince (didn't like his music personally) if your superstar rebranded himself as a symbol, what symbol would it be?

I wasn't a huge Prince fan but I've heard purple rain on the radio so much in the last 18 hours or so it's now constantly going round in my head, if we're playing celebrity deadpool I'd go with Prince Phillip, although I think the two mentioned could be likely

I've always referenced the older breed of 6CW and the 6WF stuff too. I just think its very realistic and is definitely something that will have its day in the sun without running a power angle. I think there is scope for competition but not control; no invasion angle etc.

It would be killing the 6wf guys a bit to have to be competing for 6cw to earn a living I reckon. It would have to boil over eventually. Not as a power struggle or invasion, but just a bitter collective aggression.
