Re: Results - Week 6
- Spoiler:
MK DONS
Injuries: Zoet, Matip, Elia
--------------Weidenfeller--------------
Piszczek - Djourou - Rudiger - Ansaldi
-----------Verratti----Herrera----------
Ziyech---------Draxler-----------Costa
---------------Batshuayi----------------
Subs: Vrsaljko, Palmer, Aduriz.
Defensively
-Rudiger to get tight to Lukaku, pressure him on the ball
-Herrera to operate in the gap where Eriksen is likely to operate to cut out play
-Piszczek and Ansaldi to stay balanced and provide cover for CB's as Rudiger will be sticking on Lukaku
Attacking
-Possession play with Verratti pulling strings as the DLP spraying passes into the 3 ahead
-Costa to push on down the right hand side due to injury to Hysaj, roam in that area and create
-Draxler look to slide passes into Batshuayi who will be looking to run in behind
Aduriz on for Batshuayi to hold up play and provide a slightly different option - 80th Minute
MACCLESFIELD TOWN
---------------------Donnarumma----------------------------
Tete---------Koulibaly--------Kimmich------------Willems
---------------------Weigl-----Pogba-----------------------
Coman-------------------Eriksen-------------------Iwobi
--------------------------Lukaku-----------------------------
Subs: Samper, Coric, Gabigol, Neves, Fekir, Sule
Miky's team focus has changed from a central core to attacking wide with the Costa purchase. Draxler & Costa don't put a defensive shift in so we can target Ansaldi who is more suited to a midfield role now.
Their midfield without Thiago is defensive so expect space for Pogba and Eriksen to exploit. Batshuayi's a target man but not tall, Kimmich track him if the ball is moved about on the ground, if they resort to lumping it forward then Koulibaly clears.
We have a huge height advantage over them so get balls in the box at setpieces.
Subs: If losing – Fekir for Iwobi, stick Eriksen on the left and go 2 up front.

Costa - Lukaku
Would have liked more instructions for wingers from hero. Miky needs to make more use of his sub bench, which is not good enough.

CHESHAM CITY
Injuries - Gamez,Aranguiz,Paloschi
---------------------Cech
Bellerin -- Dragovic --Abdennour -- Hector
-------------Saul -------Castro
Kampl -----------------------Narsingh
----------------Firmino
--------------------------Dybala
Bench: Alisson,Adriano,Tasci,Lanzini,Younes,Orellana,Meier
Team Talk - Trebizzle has a solid set up with his injuries expecting him to be less attacking then normal. Shall look to exploit the full backs and get Dybala dragging Pepe,Blind (if CB) away from Firmino.
Tactics
Centre backs to push up to keep Cavani out and get tight to him
Full backs to overlap the wingers and whip balls in, make theirs cut inside when defending to stop supply of crosses.
Saul to sit infront of defense and cut supply
Castro get about the midfield and create from deep
Narsingh & Kampl to attack the full backs with pace and dribbling.
Firmino to sit in gap and drift about to create for Dybala. Shoot if don't close down.
Dybala to get on Pepe or Blind and run in behind and get across them for balls in.
Subs - Lanzini & Orellana for Kampl & Narsingh - Look to use your trickery and pace to get at the tired full backs.
LINAGOW WHOWIN
Injuries
LW Ousmane Dembele
WG Dimitri Payet
CB Axel Tuanzebe
---------------------------Subasic---------------------------
Lichtsteiner-------Silva--------------Blind------------Telles
----------------------------Lahm-----------------------------
---------------Moutinho----------------Andre-----------------
------El Ghazi--------------------------------Valbuena-------
---------------------------Cavani----------------------------
BENCH
Iraizoz, Haps, Morgan, Pepe, Tierney, Rudy, Storie
TACTICS (100 words)
They don't have a defensive midfielder but have plenty of midfielders who can get forward well, so finding that space in front of their defense will be key. We expect them to either play with attacking midfielders in the wide positions, or a diamond type system, so keep the defense compact. Firmino will be man-marked by Lahm, don't allow him any time on the ball. The full backs should get forward quickly when we have the ball (Lahm covering a back three), Andre and Valbuena both looking for space in front of their defense with El Ghazi sneaking in behind.
CHESHAM 2 WHOWIN 1
Dybala, Castro - Valbuena
Trebs should have played Pepe instead of Blind at CB. Extra bit of pace attacking wise helped nando to the win. Trebs needs to use his sub bench more.

Re: Results - Week 6
If I played Pepe instead of Blind, wouldn't that have made my defense slower and struggle more with their threat?
And also at the risk of sounding like Hero, did you see the job Blind did on Lukaku at the weekend.

I think Blind is vastly underrated myself, shows when you have great awareness of the game that you can slot in at a position that really shouldn't be one you're able at, he could possibly even play as part of a back three

Shows what you lot know, best CB Trebs has at his disposal is Wes Morgan. He's been a colossus this season. Pick your form players!
