Week 8 results
MK DONS VS MAN UTD
Result - MK Dons 2-2 Man Utd
MK Dons goalscorers - Costa, Adruiz
Man Utd - Vardy x2
Feedback: This is an intriguing game, MK Dons anticipated a slightly different formation and style from Man Utd, whereas Man Utd get their tactics spot on pushing up higher against Adruiz, however I think the Utd defence is too weak and has issues with Costa in particular. However I also see Vardy giving Miranda such a hard time he has trouble sitting the next day, and with defences being weak I see a high scoring draw between the two sides
CHESHAM VS MACC TOWN
Result - Chesham 3-3 Macc Town
Chesham goalscorers - Firmino, Lanzini, Saul
Macc Town goalscorers - Lukaku x2, Fekir
Feedback: With both teams playing a high line, this game is extremely cramped in the middle of the park! A scruffy affair, but with the midfield creativity on show on both sides coupled with some rather questionable defences, we have numerous opportunities and goals throughout the game. I feel Macc Town have the better attack, but their defence/GK is poor and allows a couple goals for the weaker Chesham attack.

Herrera on for Gonalons in the 85th minute to provide a burst of energy towards the end of the match.
Man Utd seem to favour a narrow system which we are going to pile the pressure on with Modric controlling the pace of the game from a DLP role pushing the ball out wide for Costa and Elia to work their way down the wings. Use the option of Aduriz in the box as much as possible. Defensively i want us to be solid, Piszczek and Wendell will get forward in a controlled way not getting caught out with Miranda and Rudiger marking the 2 up front. Gonalons to break down play, protecting the back 4.

Tactics
Dons are missing Batshuayi & Draxler, we'll play a higher line to push them back as Adruiz does not have the pace, CB to mark zonally. FB show wingers the inside taking away Adruiz heading ability, FB stay wide and give width and constant crosses. Motta demand ball and keep it ticking, Kante get tackles in and press them also joining in attacks. Attacking trio stay narrow putting pressure on their centre, get shots in, use flair to beat man and look to play in Vardy. Vardy stretch defence with pace and stay on the move finding gaps.
SUB 70 MIN IF LOSING
Motta off Ibrahimovic on (We play 4-4-2)
Result - MK Dons 2-2 Man Utd

Subs: Samper, Coric, Gabigol, Sule, Dahoud, Barbossa, Janssen
Nando has brought in Higuain so we're going to play a high line as he's poor breaking the offside trap, Casemiro operating just ahead to assist and nullify Firmino whilst allowing Pogba the freedom to get at them. On the flanks looks to double up coming forward and have the wingers mainly coming inside. Mkhi the free kick specialist so be ready for rebounds, act as a 2nd striker when we have periods of pressure on them. Allow clever fouls in their half to allow us to regroup and stop counters.
Subs: If losing – Janssen for Fekir, two physical guys up front, get balls into the box.

Bench: Lopez,Adriano,Tasci,Aranguiz,Orellana,Meier,Paloschi
Team Talk: With his full back injured & Eriksen shall push up and look to exploit the width to get in behind to get balls in against the back up keeper.
Centre backs to push up to keep Lukaku out with Stones tight to him
Full backs to overlap the wingers and whip balls in, make theirs cut inside when defending to stop supply of crosses.
Saul to sit infront of defense and make tackles
Castro get about the midfield put under pressure at all times
Lanzini & Kampl to attack the full backs with pace and dribbling and get balls in.
Firmino to sit in gap and drift about creating chances, Shoot if don't close down.
Higuain to break in behind, If deep then poach around the 6 yard area
Subs: Orellana for Saul - Kampl to CM alongside Castro if losing.
Result - Chesham 3-3 Macc Town

Good game Viva.
I'd most likely have gone for the diamond if Alonso wasn't injured. Good game mate.
Well done on the results Olly.
