Week 10 PL results
- MK Dons line-up and tactics:
- Injuries: Aduriz, Gonalons, Modric.
------------------Zoet---------------------
Piszczek-Miranda-Marquinhos-Wendell
---------------Gundogan------------------
Sane-----------Ziyech--------------Costa
---------------Mandzkuic------------------
I want to use the width against Chesham, Gundogan pulling the strings spreading the play out wide for Costa and Sane to hit the big man Mandzukic up front who will be getting amongst the Chesham defence, making himself known. Defensively we want to be solid however Wendell and Piszczek to overlap in attacks as decoys on the wings to pile pressure on even more. Marquinhos to sit on Aguero and watch his running with Miranda as cover. Costa and Sane to get back when defending to support fullbacks. Ziyech to support Mandzukic and play off him at times.
Subs: Vrsaljko, Palmer, Elia
Elia on for Sane in the 80th minute to freshen things up out wide.
Palmer on for Ziyech in the 90th minute.
- Chesham United line-up and tactics:
- --------------------Bengalio
Bellerin -- Smalling -- Stones -- Hector
----------Saul -------Castro
Lanzini -------Silva --------Firmino
------------Aguero
Injuries - Kampl,Lopez,Orellana
Subs: Gamez,Dragovic,Aranguiz,Younes,Narsingh,Paloschi,Meier
Team Talk: Up against Miky who has midfield injuries so just going all out assault on this since last day of season. Shall look to press high and pass the ball.
Benaglio to release the ball out wide to a full back
Smalling to stick to Batshuayi, Stones to cover and play out from the back
Full backs to press high up the pitch and overlap wingers, Force their wingers down the line
Saul & Castro to go box to box get about the pitch and put tackles in, Make late runs for the box
Attacking 3 to interchange throughout the match and look to create chances for Aguero or whip balls in the box
Aguero to use pace to get in behind if drop deep be a 6 yard poacher
Subs - Narsingh & Paloschi on for Firmino & Lanzini - Go 4-4-2 with Narsingh LW,Silva RW if losing
- MK Dons vs Chesham United result:
- MK Dons 0-2 Chesham United
Aguero + Lanzini
MK Dons have improved a lot over the course of the season, and manager Miky set his team up very well to combat a Chesham team that is very impressive up front, but less so in the middle of the pitch. MK refused to give up, despite Aguero being a constant thorn in the wide of Smalling, but Chesham's quality saw them control the game and canter to a straightforward 2-0 win.
- Manchester United line-up and tactics:
- Formation: 4-2-3-1
Reina
Varela Koscielny Laporte Aurier
Alonso Kante
Robben Coutinho Ben Arfa
Vardy
Subs: Jackson, Terry, Motta, Brandt, Ibrahimovic
Injuries: Iker Casillas, Luca Toni, Maxwell
Home advantage lets take the game to them. Defenders to mark zonally, fullbacks show the wingers the inside where they'll be met by our CM to block of the crossing/shooting options. Kante & Alonso block and intercept passes cutting down the passing angles, both of you keep the ball ticking looking for our wide men or Vardy runs in behind. Attacking trio play to run with the ball committing players which will open space for us and get shots in. Vardy make early runs off the shoulder of defenders, press them high and stay on the move.
SUB 70 MIN IF WINNING
Alonso off Motta on (Fresh legs more defensive steel)
SUB 70 MIN IF LOSING
Alonso off Ibrahimovic on (We go 4-4-2)
80 MIN SUB
Ben Arfa off Brandt (Injection of speed)
- Liaoning Whowin line-up and tactics:
- INJURIES: WG Dimitri Payet, CB Thiago Silva, LW Ousmane Dembele
-----------------------Iraizoz-----------------------
Lichtsteiner------Pepe----------Blind----------Telles
------------------------Lahm-------------------------
------------Moutinho-------------Milner--------------
-----------------------------------------------------
------El Ghazi---------Cavani-----------Martial------
BENCH: Pickford, Tierney, Tuanzebe, Rudy, Valbuena, Moussa Dembele, Iheanacho - On for Moutinho if losing, move to 4-4-2.
TACTICS (100 words)
This is it, win and we're champions. Their main weakness is their full backs, Martial and El Ghazi should start from wide positions and cut inside to exploit the space between FB/CB while Cavani leads the line as a focal point. I want the CM trio to focus on protecting the defense than getting forward, and Telles slightly more defensive, presuming he's against Robben but Lichtsteiner has more license to push on. Lahm to protect the space in front of the back four which Coutinho will presumably want to exploit, while Pepe and Blind focus on holding a strong line.
- Manchester United vs Liaoning Whowin result:
- Manchester United 4-3 Liaoning Whowin
Vardy x2 + Coutinho + Brandt / Martial x2 + Iheanacho
A game filled with chances, these two teams went at it for 90mins end-to-end, putting everything on the line. Both defences struggled - Whowin against the pace and directness, and United against sheer numbers - but the presence of Kante and Alonso in the middle of the park was more than a match for Moutinho and Milner, and it was from here that United built their attacks. With the Whowin FBs unable to cope with the directness of Ben Arfa and Robben, United were at one stage 3-0 up and cruising. However, Whowin's introduction of Iheanacho saw them dominate proceedings, bringing it back to 3-2 before Brandt exposed a desperate Whowin defence. Martial brought the scores back to 4-3 but, despite Iraizoz getting a shot at goal from a last-minute corner, it was not to be for Whowin. A breathless game which gave the fans great value for money.

Re: Week 10 PL results
I can't believe I didn't spot that. It shows how good his tactics were, and the matchups, that I only scored it 2-0.
Nando, I gave that score based on the teams and tactics but didn't spot the 10 men - it sounds stupid now, but at the time I saw it as a 2-0 win. If you feel we should re-visit this, I'm happy to discuss with a Championship manager about what a fair score would be (although I did score the game based on what was presented).
