Odd how TRUSS thinks how Rose was a leader in 2012, but not 2016...

Truss,
Even if Europe only had 5 leaders, that's still 5 more than America have got isn't it?
Why do you keep saying stuff about "last time" in regards to "getting a miracle" or "Poulter was crucial" when last time was Gleneagles where your disparate collection of non team playing individuals were on the wrong end of yet another holocaust?

And Poulter's playing role at Gleneagles was insignificant.

Because home advantage is huge....If you hadn't have produced the miracle you wouldn't have won in the US for 12 years..
Rookies away from home = Problem..
Gleneagles is irrelevant.

Re: Ryder Cup - European Picks
Yeah, Stop calling it a miracle, there's no such thing, how about America bottled it as usual, or were simply outplayed again by the better team?
Again, you've demonstrated you know nothing about golf.
Of the last seven events held in America, Europe have won 4 and USA have won 3. So how great is home advantage again?
(USA have only won once in the last 17 years at home too, so much for home advantage)
The bottom line is that USA are not a very good team, despite being good individuals.

I'd agree with TRUSS re. the # of rookies this time and the fact the match is in the U.S.A. If it were in Europe, the rookies wouldn't bother me as much, but it'll be the usual cauldron over there. They may lap it up (hopefully, they will), but more than one of them may come apart, in which case I suspect the Americans will win it reasonably clearly. We'll see!

Re: Ryder Cup - European Picks
European "rookies" in America are likely to do much better than American "rookies" in Europe given that most of the European "rookies" will have played many times in America, and have done well there with the crowds, pressure etc.
Truss talks about how much home advantage is important, yet it doesn't seem to have done America much use.

Changing the subject a bit, I know DL3 can set up the course as he wants eg length of rough, speed of greens. But does that include the length of the hole? I don't know Hazeltine so could someone turn a short par four into a driveable par 4? Who decides that?

A day in the life of Darren Clarke...
"Hello Paul, how's it going? Snowboarding injury all healed now? What do you think of the ET at the moment? What are you doing last weekend of Sept into Oct?"
"Hello Chris, How's your back?"
"Hello Andy, where are you?"
"Hello Danny, are you still in Augusta?"
"Hello Lee, I know we're mates but..."
"Hello Martin, how confident are you of repeating a 7 foot Medina putt?"

Re: Ryder Cup - European Picks
Another problem for Team Europe is of the few experienced players they have got ....Garcia and Westwood are too old to play 5 matches...
Think a lot is riding on the rookies coming through...Wouldn't want to gamble on that..Would you ??
Strength in depth coupled with home advantage is a great place to be..
I see Jacklin is picking the USA...and he is as pro Europe as you can get...
Brightside though for Europe....Ryder cup week starts Monday and I can at least see Europe staying competitive until Friday..

Trussman, you're a complete plank.
America for the last 20 years have had TONS of experienced players. Guess how much good it's done them? Bugger all.
You can't make a decent argument.
