Hideki Matsuyama blew away the field with a dominant performance in the WGC HSBC Champions.  Only three Fantasy Leaguers picked Matsuyama and it's no surprise that they are at the top of the leaderboard.  Beninho in his first event in a while put in a Matsuyama like performance in securing the win.  He had two other players in the top ten.  Owen10ozzy and SirBenson also added two other scoring picks.  Super_Realist had the most scoring picks with five of his six scoring.  Eyetoldyouso and LadyPutt each had four scoring picks while SetupDetermines was the final Fantasy Leaguer to have three scoring picks.  Davie, GolferMartin, I'm Never Wrong, Pedro, and Raycastleunited each had two scoring picks of varying quality.  AlciG, BlueCoverman, EmmDee57, Kwinigolfer, Sand, and TheCleaver all had one scoring pick.

Henrik Stenson and Matthew Fitzpatrick shot 65 for the low round of the day.  Stenson earned points for GolferMartin.

A lot of the world's best players and a few others take to the stage for the final WGC event of 2016.  Dustin Johnson headlines as the top ranked player in the field while Russell Knox is back to defend his title.  

Due to the limited field size the number of picks is scaled back to two from each category plus reserve.  This is also a no cut event so the usual cut bonuses are not in effect but additional points are available in round two.

RULES

Picking players: Unless stated, pick a total of 6 players as follows:

Pick 2 players from each category, plus a reserve per category.

Event winner: The person with the most total points at the completion of each event will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, those involved will match-off each picks' final position score in descending order. i.e. Player A's best finish vs. Player B's best finish, Player A's 2nd best finish vs. Player B's 2nd best finish, etc... until one's pick finishes better than the other(s).

If there is a tie after all 6 picks have been matched against each other, those involved will be declared co-winners.

Player Withdrawals: If you pick a player who withdraws during a tournament, that player will be eligible for points for all completed rounds and making the cut if they withdraw after the cut. It must be apparent that the player completed their round for them to be eligible for either the low round, worse round, top 5, or top 10 low round scores.  If a player withdraws before starting the tournament then your reserve will be put in that player's place. It is up to you to check that your players are in the starting field.

Holidays / Absences: If you will be absent for an upcoming event (e.g holidays) you may post the numbers on the most recent fantasy league event and the respective tournament(s) that apply or PM them to me.  Example: Pick 3 players and 1 reserve from each category and the relative event number or name: Players 4, 5, and 8, reserve 9 from Category A, players 1, 3, and 7, reserve 5 from Category B, players 1, 2 and 17, reserve 12 from Category C, Event #12.

Failure to submit picks: If you do not submit picks you will be awarded zero points.

Deadlines: Picks must ideally be submitted before the first drive is struck on the first day of the tournament.  However, late picks submitted after the tournament has begun must be for players who have yet to start (or are not showing a score on europeantour.com, PGATour.com, etc.), and these will not be valid unless they are seconded by any other league member.

All fantasy league disputes and discrepancies will be considered by the League Judge: LadyPutt. All decisions made by the League Judge are final.

At the other end of the spectrum Owen is @ -11 but is not the highest points scorer. Super is @ -9, LP @ -5 but both didn't score. Points scorers SirB, Ben, and Pedro are @ -4, -3, and -1 respectively and Ben scored the most points.

It's a good job there's no cut in WGCs or some big names will be packing their bags sooner than expected. Scoring was a real mixed bag with relative unknowns and wannabes making the Top 5 Low Round scores. Rikard Karlberg shot 64 in first WGC to take the lead while Hideki Matsuyama and Russell Knox shot 66s to round out the scoring positions. Both were picked by Beninho who has the early lead. Owen10ozzy and SirBenson both picked Matsuyama and Pedro picked Knox. There endeth the scoring.

Hideki Matsuyama continued his fine form ending the day with a low round of 65.  Beninho, Owen10ozzy, and SirBenson all profitted from his good play.  With rounds of 67 needed to make the Top 5 Low Round scores three other picks were among the points.  The popular picks of Rory McIlroy and Matt Kuchar were joined by a not so popular pick of Emiliano Grillo.  Beninho and Owen also had Rory score points for them while BlueCoverman, I'm Never Wrong, and Sand had the McIlroy, Kuchar combo.  Super_Realist has both McIlroy and Grillo.  AlciG, Eyetoldyouso, GolferMartin, Raycastleunited, SetupDetermines, and TheCleaver all had one of McIlroy or Kuchar.  With more points scoring opportunities in round three there's still time for Davie, EmmDee57, Kwinigolfer, and LadyPutt to get off the mark.

The third round saw players needing just a 68 to get into the Top 10 Low Round scores and ten picks did just that. TheCleaver has half of his picks do so and he was the biggest mover up into a tie for fourth. It was no change at the top as the top three, Beninho, Owen10ozzy, and SirBenson, matched each other with two picks scoring for each of them. AlciG, BlueCoverman, GolferMartin, and I'm Never Wrong also had two scoring picks. Davie, Eyetoldyouso, LadyPutt, Pedro, Raycastleunited, Sand, SetupDetermines, and Super_Realist all had one scoring pick.

Adam Scott had the round of the day with a 64; bet he wishes he could have a do over on the second round.

Hideki Matsuyama blew away the field with a dominant performance in the WGC HSBC Champions. Only three Fantasy Leaguers picked Matsuyama and it's no surprise that they are at the top of the leaderboard. Beninho in his first event in a while put in a Matsuyama like performance in securing the win. He had two other players in the top ten. Owen10ozzy and SirBenson also added two other scoring picks. Super_Realist had the most scoring picks with five of his six scoring. Eyetoldyouso and LadyPutt each had four scoring picks while SetupDetermines was the final Fantasy Leaguer to have three scoring picks. Davie, GolferMartin, I'm Never Wrong, Pedro, and Raycastleunited each had two scoring picks of varying quality. AlciG, BlueCoverman, EmmDee57, Kwinigolfer, Sand, and TheCleaver all had one scoring pick.

Henrik Stenson and Matthew Fitzpatrick shot 65 for the low round of the day. Stenson earned points for GolferMartin.
