Warriors need the help of the refs to escape a playoff game.

There was a five shot disparity in the free throw count. Hardly a robbery.

I did indeed. Spurs lost focus after the injury. A few debatable decisions but no worst than usuallyPr4wn wrote:I assume you watched the game?

Boston Celtics outlasted the Washington Wizards to clinch a eastern conference showdown with the Cleveland Cavaliers. A mouthwatering prospect

Not really, I much prefer watching Washington, but never mind.
Can't see either team beating Cleveland.

Steph's 29pts helped the Warriors rout the Spurs 136-100. Very lacklustre performance from San Antonio.

Warriors edged closer to a third straight finals appearance with a 120-108 win over an undermanned Spurs side. KD dropped 33pts and 10 assists. Warriors 11-0 in the postseason.
Cavaliers blew a 21pt lead in game 3 as LeBron did his best impression of the invisible man. Celtics won 111-108. Series is poised at 2-1 Cavaliers

Probably Manu Ginobili's last game in the NBA, too.

Cavaliers won the eastern conference 4-1, LeBron James broke Michael Jordan's record of most points in the post season...Mute point really as James played 30 odd games more to surpass the GOAT.
The rubber series between Cavaliers and Warriors.

Stephen Curry hit the first finals triple double of his career, as once again the Warriors made easy work of the Cavaliers. Curry 32pts, 11asts and 10 rebs. Warriors romped to 132 - 113 victory. Warriors are 14-0 in the post season, the longest unbeaten streak in NBA history. LeBron James hit the 8th triple double of his finals career to equal Magic Johnson.

Warriors closing in after winning game 3 in Cleveland 118-113. KD 31pts, Klay 30pts and Steph 26pts. Redemption is close.

Super team era, for you. Zzzzzzzzzzz of a play-offs. Domination doesn't do anything for a sport

Agreed. Can't believe the Cavs managed to choke away a win last night. People can brag all they want about the Warriors dominance but it makes the sport far less fun to watch.

Sour grapes all over the place. The rest of the NBA fraternity where rejoicing when the Cavs and refs robbed the Warriors in last years finals. This year we are seeing how great the Warriors truly are. Instead of being bitter, actually appreciate the greatness being displayed.

If this team remains intact for next season, I probably won't watch. It's not about sour grapes, it's just boring to watch a team dominate by chucking threes all game.

Re: 2016-17 season
I'm really failing to understand the hatred towards Golden State TBH. It's merely that it's the Warriors dynasty now. Magic Johnson's Showtime Lakers did their thing. Michael Jordan's Bulls. Kobe and Shaq with the Lakers. Spurs did their thing with Duncan and Pop.
Warriors fans waited along time to get back to the big time, we'll enjoy whilst it lasts. Which could be a couple of seasons or could be 5 seasons. Nothing lasts forever so this group can create their legacies. Durant and Curry are sure fire hall of famers. But when it's all said and done Green/Thompson may well join them.
And as for raining the 3s, no one stopping the rest of the NBA doing the same...

Re: 2016-17 season
I don't hate the Warriors, per se. I just don't like what they stand for in the modern NBA. At team that made two consecutive finals go out and sign the second or third best player in the NBA, that just sucks for anyone that's not a Warriors fan.
Also, you simply can't compare these Warriors to any of the teams you listed above, simply because those teams occasionally lost. The Warriors have basically steamrolled everyone this year and they've steamrolled the playoffs. LeBron and Kyrie both have 30+ point games, both playing out of their skins and they still lose at home after being blown out twice on the road in the Finals? That's just boring.
Again, nothing against the Warriors or their fans. It just sucks to watch.

Well the acquisition of Durant can be landed squarely at the feet of the NBA. After they belt the rules so Cleveland could steal the championship last season. Had the NBA sat and let it play out, Durant wouldn't have been a Warriors player this year.

Now who has sour grapes?
Fact of the matter is, the NBA has been so boring this year and, if this Warriors team remains intact, it will stay boring.

Re: 2016-17 season
I like the NBA and I'm all for a little competition but I'm also a guy that's eager to see records and new benchmarks being set. I'm not the most ardent fan but I recall Jordan and Chicago going 6-0 in finals. I felt that was a sign of greatness and made other sides get better. The same can be said of Oakland. They are an outstanding side, whether having 4 superstars is against the spirit of the league isn't really my kettle of fish. I believe the Oakland side will make the likes of San Antonio and potentially Boston perhaps one day even supersede Oakland. That's my two cents NJ

Re: 2016-17 season
Oakland gained their redemption and revenge over Cleveland. A thrilling fifth match at the Oracle Arena. Oakland vanquished the misery of the 2016 finals, with Durant and Curry lighting up the arena. James and Irving gave it their best but it wasn't enough. Oakland closed the show with 129-120. A fifth championship for the Warriors lineage.
Durant was named finals MVP. James becomes the first MVP to lose 5 finals. Ouch...
Rumours claiming Cleveland will trade Kevin Love in the hope landing Paul George.
Don't see anyone beating this Oakland franchise for a ring over the next couple of seasons.

Don't really have much opinion of the next few years as my side Chicago ain't gonna be achieving much...but always had a soft spot for Steve Kerr. 7 Rings. Not to be sniffed at.

You watched this season. and not just you.
First time in NBA history
From 2010-2016 there were six different NBA champions. The very definition of unpredictable really... And yet, by some miracle, this was the most watched finals since the Jordan era. Not just the finals, playoffs ratings were up.

Strange, isn't it? The playoffs, bar a couple of exceptions, were terrible. So many blowouts yet people kept on coming back.
I feel like a sucker.
