Liam Williams vs Stuart Hogg, for the title of the most World Class fullback to have graced the game, ever.

Their presence will still be felt, such is the measure of these men.
Still, you make a good point.

Re: Scarlets v Glasgow Warriors, 5 November
What's player availability like for Glasgow? The Scarlets team should be very similar to the one that played against (and beat) Cardiff. It appears that the Irish are having some players released back to them again, is this the case for the Scots?

Re: Scarlets v Glasgow Warriors, 5 November
I suspect Glasgow will definitely be without
Reid, Brown, Fagerson, Gray, Strauss, Pyrgos, Russell, Dunbar, Bennett, Seymour, Hogg
With Harley, Swinson and Horne potentially released back - Harley and Swinson as they may not be involved against Australia and Horne needs gametime having just come back from injury.

Re: Scarlets v Glasgow Warriors, 5 November
Glasgow will likely get a few players back, but not that many. Players who are not likely to be in the squad for the Australia game, or who may bench and could use some game time. There are those who are just training with the squad as well.
Horne definitely needs some game time, but unfortunately got a head knock when he game on against Treviso, so that may or may not keep him out in any case.
Hughes, Grigg and Price, who are training with the squad will come back for sure.
One or both of Swinson and Harley, who are less likely to be in the match day squad may come back and maybe one of the centres, most likely Bennett, that may depend on how fit Taylor is.
I think our team may look something like
Allen
McArthur
Pulifisi
Big Brian
Swinson
Favaro
Wynn
Harley
Price
Horne (this one is tricky, as he and Clegg may be injured)
Sarto
Johnson
Gregg
Hughes
Murchie
The bench will be whoever is left standing!
That is actually not a bad team if they can get them onto the pitch. The FH spot is the big worry if neither of the two named above are fit, then I am not sure where we go. We have that other guy who came over from NZ as well, but he has been nowhere near the squad and may well be injured as well. This could be a big problem.

Big Brian and Tiny Tim Swinson will be an interesting lock combination. Their respective body positions will be hilarious!

Not that many world class players on display then, especially with NH top full-back (Liam Williams).

I'm not sure how the number 8 will be able to bind in the scrums given there is a 4 inch difference between between where each shoulder will be pushing!
Is this not a problem that Ireland often find themselves in given how feckin huge Devon Toner is?

Just the NH? It's not like you Welshies to underrate your players in such a way.

Now that you mention it, Liam is a bit underrated. Who's better in the SH? Nobody as far as I can see!

Had a quick peak on the Scarlet's forum and there's no shortage of confidence. Regardless I'm going for a Glasgow win but with no bonus point.

Re: Scarlets v Glasgow Warriors, 5 November
Not a bad Glasgow team, but certainly not great. I'm most interested to see how Puafisi and Sears-Duru get on up front - that is a very large propping combo. I'm hopeful that the big Canadian can be moulded into a pretty decent player, I thought he showed up well in the last WC.
Hughes has been playing well, so good that he gets a continued run. Should be a close game, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Scarlets sneak it.

Stronger Glasgow side than I expected to be honest. But the Scarlets generally do well when Wales get a thumping, to lift the spirits of West Walians, so I think it could well be a Scarlets win.

Yes, that is a properly huge Glasgow boiler room.
Funny even to compare the two locks:
Big Brian Alainu’uese - 6ft 8in, 135kg
Tiny Tim Swinson - 6ft 4in, 112kg

Add the 2 Scarlets Locks and it shows just how big Brian Alainu'uese is.
David Bullbring - 6'6" and 113kg
Tom Price - 6'8" and 115kg
Incidentally "Tiny Tim Swinson" is listed at 117kg on Wikipedia which would would have him as heavier than both our boys!
I think it could be a long game for our front 5 if Glasgow manage to utilise that extra weight.

Re: Scarlets v Glasgow Warriors, 5 November
Just looking again.
That is a surprisingly decent Glasgow team in the circumstances. Normally we are absolutely decimated come AI time. Admittedly a lot of that is down to the fact that Swinson and Bennett really should be in the Scotland squad right now. I understand if we are trying Huw Jones instead of Bennett, but Porcelain Gilchrist has done nothing to suggest he should leapfrog Tiny.

I think he is naturally an openside. However, he did really well at 8.
