AJ Vs Molina CONFIRMED
Fight is confirmed for December 10th, as we all expected in the end. I thought it would Price actually but obviously the last few days it's looked like Molina. Not looking forward to it, won't be buying.
Del Boy Vs Whyte confirmed on the undercard. Should test Whyte far more than any other opponent has, except AJ of course, hope he gets exposed which Chisora should b able to do if he has anything left.
Quigg vs the mysterious TBA, Yafai Vs Concepcion.
It's not really lighting my fire, but for the guys that buy anything, fill your boots

Aparently the Whyte Chisora fight is one of Eddies famed Eliminator fights (WBC) according to Sky. He does love a good eliminator does our Eddie haha.
Ortiz will also be on he card according to Sky, and Burton Vs Buglioni. i'm sure the Smith mob will appear in due course fighting Eastern European doormen as well

Expected due to the amount of time they had to get an opponent and the opponents available
Its not PPV though

Would you pay for the Vargas fight? I know I wouldn't!

Ortiz or even Chisora would be better opponents for Joshua than Molina.

I don't why anyone advocates Ortiz as an opponent when he's a proven drugs cheat.

Suppose because he is good and currently passing tests. Second chances and all that!

Same reason as the saviour of boxing Eddie Heard sees fit to promote him probably.

I also think it's pretty shameful that Hearn associates with a drugs cheat.

For the card on the weekend?
Of course I would
Chance to see a legend in an entertaining fight?
I paid for Pacquiao vs Bradley III
If you could see a boxing legend one more time, like Roy Jones, or Ali, or Lewis, Leonard, Hagler etc...
You would pay even if it was against someone you thought had no chance, just to see them display their skills one more time
At least I would
Also got one of my favourite fighters in Donaire on the card fighting a tough opponent
Technically I am paying for it since Boxnation isn't free

FFS he cheated a test. You would think he was a convicted nonce, the way you're portraying him.

You do know a bit about boxing (won't take that away from you), but you're a horrible git and probably under 5 foot.
Though it's a forum and I find you quite amusing, so carry on.

In the mean time, Ben Dirs has written a really good article on the BBC website talking about the breakdown of the Joshua-Wlad fight and the rubbish workings of the WBA. Detailed and balanced. Well worth a read...

I have just read Ben Dirs' article - it gives an interesting insight to how much of a waste of space the WBA can be. Browne vs Briggs? Jeez. I was expecting the Cannon to be ringside at the Joshua fight ready to start shouting "LET'S GO CHAMP!" at anyone who looks vaguely like a heavyweight .
If Briggs beats Browne, what the hell is he going to shout at opponents?
As for the Joshua fight, it's over in 3 or less. Joke fight.

Rather than moaning about this being PPV all you have to do is put £1122 on AJ to win at his current odds of 1/66 and problem solved, you've won the £17 required to cover the PPV cost.

I quite like the Whyte Chisora fight hope Dillyan wins it in in good fashion but won't be paying for the pleasure of watching on principle as the main fight is such rubbish have to draw the line somewhere

You're welcome Milky, if you're quick off the mark Sky have him as short as 1/33 currently. For a man of your means it could be a good Christmas for your mini milks.

I wouldnt put it past Eddie Hearn to use this as a selling point for the fight - There are not many other selling points in fairness to the bloke.

How much will have you to bet on Joshua if you wanted to get a ticket to the fight for 4 times its face value on Stub Hub? Anyone else want to do the maths?

Here you go catchweight. For a face value ticket of £40 at 4 times its value (£160) and odds of 1/33, you would have to bet £5,280. Yes I really am that bored today.

I mean it's ridiculous this isnt it let's be honest. How can Eddie sell this one as a competetive fight when the bookies are giving out odds like that?
Competetive means the other bloke actually has a chance of winning, Ed old boy.
It's an actual joke this AJ farce now.

Re: AJ Vs Molina CONFIRMED
I guess its the difference between wishes and expectations hammy... especially when it's ppv. If the wlad fight was definitiely signed for April and this was a std sky card, people would be more understanding regarding a 'keep busy' fight. But that's us boxing fans who view things this way. Eddie's audience is the casual sports fan, and they're happy to pay to watch AJ spark out stiffs.

What I expect, is not to be getting rinsed for my hard earned off someone who has more money than I'll ever see, and keeps telling us via IFLTV how he is 'smashing it'. Smashing it he may be, at the expense of us.
I genuinely don't mind paying for a good nights boxing. But whether or not the undercard is 'stacked' is irrelevant IMO. The main event justifies PPV for me. But Eddie has already told us, AJ is PPV, forget the opponent. It's disgusting really. Justify it all you want, if you're happy then fair enough.
As an aside, I'll beleive Wlad Vs Josh in the Spring when I see it.

Frampton Quigg. That's five at £16.95. £84.75 additional on top of sky sports. Makes Boxnation seem very very good value when you look at it like that. Especialy when three out of those five have been AJ Vs Stiff

Re: AJ Vs Molina CONFIRMED
I have to say I am a fan of boxnation. They get the majority of the American fights and they're pundits like Steve Bunce, Barry Jones and Steve Lillis will tell it as it is... if its a stinker or an easy fight, they wont dress it up the way the sky boys do. Boxing is an expensive sport to follow. The only plus side is we are not being charged $100 per week for half decent fights like they are in the USA...

Don't buy them then it's quite simple, the demand for AJ is there so he's on box office, it's not ideal but it's how the world works.

I already pay for sky sports though Hammer. You know, so I can watch sport. I won't buy it but it's unfair to have to take that stance really IMO. I begrudge PPV view full stop to be honest, but I accept it is the way it works now. What I can't accept is that someone is PPV regardless of who they fight. It's similar to putting the top football teams on PPV only, even when they are in the 3rd round of the FA cup playing Harrogate Town. It wouldn't wash would it. It works with boxing because most people don;t have a clue. So they are basically preying on everybodies naivety/lack of knowledge.
You're saying the demand for Joshua is there and it is, I agree. But I also know that most people belive these fights are competetive when they are not.
It doesn;t matter what I say to you anyway, hell will freeze before you see my POV regardless of what I actually say.

Whilst we're doing maths about how bad this is a £1 accumulator on Aj's opponents for this year would have netted you £236.25 if successful.

Chisora is a shot bum.
Matchroom won't get Ortiz blown out (at some risk to AJ) after just signing him. Still a fight I'd like to see though.

Best/Worst Boxing Bets
Just reading the recent posts about Joshua's opponents being a 235/1 accumalator and good/bad bets.
So what's your best/worse bets you've done on a boxing fight?
I seem to have erased the bad ones out of my mind but the best bet that I've done in the last few years is Sergio Martinez to stop Macklin in rounds 10-12, was 9/1 and I put a tenner on it so a nice 100 quid in the pocket.

My favourite bet was £100 for Froch to beat Jermain Taylor at 2/1. Froch was clearly behind on points going into the last round and knocked him out with 14 seconds to spare after a round of me screaming at the tv FINISH HIM, FINISH HIM and my family thinking I had gone beserk!
