I imagine if you're somebody who listens to other bands in BMTH's genre can tell the differences between subtle shifts in the style of music but to somebody who doesn't, it all sounds really similar.
I wouldn't call it a subtle shift...I'd call it a complete genre change.

I think they just got bored of playing metal for 10 years, tbh each album they had a change in sound and slowly got less heavy. I know that my music taste has grown since ten years ago so it makes sense that theirs would.

Best Rivalry?
Hero and his demons. God rest his soul.
The CW vs WF angle was done very well, given it had been done previously, it was a potential banana skin. I liked the stuff Dicey was involved in, but, it was classic Dicey rebelling against authority or getting screwed. It's like they gave him all Leone's storylines (and AIDS) and carbon copied him. It's not necessarily a bad thing, as the angles were enjoyable, I just think there was more potential with Dicey. Perhaps him leaving means will never see the payoff that could've come.

Re: 6CW Chat v16
I think Cassius/Dicey is the winner of rivalry of the year for me. I know there isn't a massive payoff to it but I think the door is open for it to continue when Dicey returns. Either that or Dicey-Jones as it stretched out for quite a bit longer and had some good elements to it. Whilst I did enjoy the CW-WF feud I think it was harmed by a few of the guys not really being around to promo for it, it didn't take off as well as perhaps I would have liked to see.
Wood & Thunder probably should have won but it never got the end it deserved with Thunder's untimely exit.
Gazzy-JJ isn't in the running. I've enjoyed getting back into promoing and the story has been built superbly in the shows but there hasn't been much back and forth to sink my teeth into.
Cerberus-Engel is a good feud but I think both men are benefiting from being away from each other now. There was a few blips and I never really understood the Engel/Cerberus/Masters trio but I know as a booker that sometimes you have to change plans at short notice. With the end of Xtreme I think I worried for Cerberus and where the character could go but he's on a roll right now. The feud with Crimey has been one of my favourites in recent memory.
I wasn't around for a lot of Dicey-Wood so I can't pass too much judgement on that. Shame Kenty dropped out too because I think O'Callaghan-Heath would have been a frontrunner in this category

Dicey/Cassius at the end of the CW/WF feud was quite similar to Leone/Hart.

Re: 6CW Chat v16
I've enjoyed the facets of Wood/Dicey most.
Don't think Dicey/Zhi has had enough moments to stand out yet.
Engel and Cerberus has had interesting layers but had a touch of the Orton/Sheamus neverending feud to it.
CW vs WF possibly garnered the best work from people, and had the biggest impact in the show come the end of the year.
Probably, and coming from a different perspective, Wood/Dicey is my favourite. Many bubbled under and never fully got to the top, one way or another.
O'Callaghan/Heath was going places and that will bug me, as will Thunder/Wood. Probably the tag division too, where every time people get involved they don't seem to get what they want quick enough and dissolve.

Re: 6CW Chat v16
Leone's run against Genesis was the ultimate anti-authority hero and there were definitely similarities between that and Dicey vs WF. But I actually quite liked that because Dicey & Leone's paths have been so intertwined over the years.
But as Beer said, Dicey unfortunately won't get the same payoff (well at least we don't think) as Leone did although the story definitely seemed to be arcing that way.

Re: 6CW Chat v16
As for the heel moment, I loved the Costello one to write but it had little payoff. So probably the end of Xtreme or the attack on GazzyD. The latter felt most like a TV moment and something we don't get enough of any more in actual wrestling, but I loved the cancelling of Xtreme. Tough pick

Re: 6CW Chat v16
I think it's why i enjoyed it, JJ, that angle with Leone was one of the best storylines i've read and it was a testament to Jack, Lex and the writers who made it so.
I've always been a believer that the GM Characters (Jones, McGraw, Walker) are just as key to the shows and storylines and the guys promoing. But Alex Walker is easily the best heel that's ever existed in these feds.

Re: 6CW Chat v16
The right GM's can make things work perfectly. I know promos and the guys promoing make the fed work but if the storytelling in the show (or script haha) is on point then it adds so much more to everything. You can build so much from that kind of base.
For the "heel moment of the year" I actually think Cassius' destruction of Dicey would be my winner and it's not in the list. Not because I wrote it but the pure victimization that Cassius inflicted upon him left a lasting impression on that show and has cemented Zhi as the main protagonist in all of 6CW.
As for the actual list I would pick Jones ending Xtreme. Simply because of the effect it had in out of character chat even more so than in shows. It caused quite a stir and definitely gets my vote.
Should have been Emmy-Costello-Thunder-Wood but that didn't get the pay off it deserved. I was really excited about that one.

I'm a fan of the GM character, but we've been heavy on it for years so wanted a break. Otherwise they become another version of the last one over and over. Originally I was planning to pitch to the other two Gazzy becoming that face GM in the long run, but we had better possibilities with Gazzy

I wouldn't mind seeing a HHH style GM run where a heel wrestler (prob Cassius) is actually in charge and books himself favorably.

Cassius doesn't have the persona for me. He'd need a heel manager.
Lex or Hero (god rest his soul) would be great shouts.

I think the best villains in stories are the ones that a small part of you can either relate to or feel empathy with - Jones wasn't completely evil, he had a dream as a small boy that slowly over time become more bastardised and his desperation meant he went further and further to achieve his dreams. Kramer was motivated by money and that dictated his behavior, neither are nice guys but Kramer for me was worse
I can imagine Lex as 6CW's equivalent to HHH - Just need to find somebody within Monster Inc. who has a hot daughter he can marry
Oh and afternoon all

Re: 6CW Chat v16
I'm trying to come up with a diplomatic, humble way round answering it, but sod it I think Cassius vs Dicey was the best feud. I think we captured something really special together that I hadn't experienced since JJ (gay!). Really clicked with the promos that got pretty intense in places. And it made Cassius as a 6CW character.
The only problem is lack of pay-off. But I'm sure that will come in the future.
Dicey and Jones would be my other shout.
I don't really think 6CW vs 6WF ever became THE thing. It was kind of a narrative that tied a load of people together and led them off to where they needed to go rather than having an ending itself. It was like the 1st film in a trilogy

Best heel moment, I'd have to agree with JJ, the end of Xtreme, it cause more trouble than Jimmy Saville in a Paediatrics ward
Best feud, I think there is a few missing (O'Callaghan/Heath, Thunder/Joshua, Gazzy/Joshua, The Xtreme title scene) but out of that lot Dicey/Cass, the promos were crazy, the psychology was there it just clicked like Dicey and Woods last year, I've been a lucky lad
