V2 WWC 2016- The Line Up

Right boys and girls, it's time to unveil the 112 wrestlers/groups who will take part in this year's WWC

For the purposes of this I've organised the competitors by company to make it easier to keep track

I'd like to say a special thanks to Dolphin Ziggler for organising the Seedings for this year (seeing as he bitched and moaned about it so much last year)

I think based on the past year, I'm going for Charlotte, Chris Jericho or AJ Styles. Probably Charlotte as top pick

Would be sad if a woman doesn't reach the latter stages this year. At times it has been the best division

Owens and Rollins certainly don't have a claim to be in the semis before Charlotte - think they've had pretty unremarkable years.

If we're talking Hell in a Cell 2015 to Hell in a Cell 2016 its hard to argue against Charlotte. Undefeated in PPV songles matches, 3 time Womens Champion, main evented Hell in a Cell and RAW, match of the night contender at WrestleMania - good 12 months.

The only thing that would go against her is match quality, shes been in some good matches but has never really blown me away, not like Nakamura or AJ have managed.

Agree on that.

Don't think Owens or Rollins have blown me away in that period though. Owens had one stand out match vs Sami Zayn.

AJ Styles has pulled a great match out of everyone he has fought on PPV. Even Reigns. He is expert at building a feud

Has Rollins been good at all in 2016? 

I think he's been very underwhelming since returning from injury, you've got to wonder whether it's affected him. His main strength was an explosive, fast style so it's difficult to keep that up after such a serious injury. I also think he maybe bulked up too much and it's slowed him down. 

At least when Triple H had the long injury his style wasn't going to be affected.

Personally I don't think Rollins should be in the mix for it, but he's a perennial favourite so past glories will take him further than he should based on form.

I am very delighted and pleased at the return of this feature

AJ Styles has been the best wrestler of 2016 by a clear country mile.

Rollins has been injured for most of the past 12 months, and has lost what, 5 maybe 6 World title matches since then? I wouldnt vote for him at all. He's been fine, but hasnt been active enough or winning enough.

Anyway thats my last on this thread. Dont want to waste all the good debate before the contest even begins.

Well it's good to see the cannon fodder like Dana Brooke & Grado get into this.

Is losing title matches a factor? Is it still real to you dammit?

The quality of those matches compared to what he was producing in 2014-15 has really dropped though. He's been screwed by booking leaving him in this weird place between face and heel instead of letting him explode when he returned as a face. I'm just not sure you can argue that Rollins deserves it.

I've never connected with Rollins

Samoa Joe should get further then Nakamura really if going by the year.

Rollins isn't working as a face (which is odd because nobody expected him to be the one who originally turned heel from The Shield)

I personally think Jericho has had an outstanding year, also New Day have been Tag Champs throughout the entire year as well.

I'd also like to see Kenny Omega do well

Disagree on Joe/Nakamura. Nakamura has been just electric to see at every opportunity, there's a buzz around him like no other

I'm interested to see how House uses my seedlings, and his general reaction. He hasn't shouted at me for underrating some New Japan worker he loves

Well he forgot The Revival and HHH originally. The original list was just Eddie Guerrero's name with hearts drawn around it

They should probably be the team to end New Day's title reign!

I didn't forget the Revival per say, I forgot to copy them from the list of WWE roster members onto my other list when I'd cut out all the chaff

I think I put Dana in the 6th seeds, probably 7th, but I've actually enjoyed her work on the whole.

As someone who is falling out of love with wrestling completely, I have to seed a lot of things on what I hear and see in snippets and whether that gives me a buzz about them or not.

There's then harsher treatment on those who have had hype and disappointed me, which may be why the Club are 6th seeds in my list
