Re: Is Roger back?
His comebacks are very well documented since 2010. Apparently, Nadal's several comebacks have inspired Federer for one of his own.

Re: Is Roger back?
Just re-read the article. Quite funny - especially after the event
Couldn't spot Anna Wintour in the players box ; don't think there was much in the way of Federer stubble. But I'd say a couple of the other tell-tale signs were certainly evident ....
Either way .......safe to say "He's back" !

Re: Is Roger back?
Roger is now back to his very best and probably on his way to the calendar year grand slam...until his next defeat of course after which he is finished and should probably retire immediately.... and then his next victory he will be BACK again and probably on his way to 20 slams.

Re: Is Roger back?
Nicely put HB !
I reckon you've pretty much covered the last six or seven years of all things Federer there, and in just one sentence ; at least as far as the fickle media is concerned (and a whole host of irrational amateur observers too).
Then again ..... I might well be amongst those 'irrational' types myself - given that I never quite imagined he would get #18 at 35 .......

I'm with you lags, never thought I'd see Fed winning slams at this age.
He just didn't seem to have the ability to close it out in a slam any more. Those two finals in 2015 followed by injury - I was pretty sure that was the beginning of the end.
My hope is winning the AO gives Fed a platform to take on the rest of the season in the same spirit and that it makes for more interesting, unpredictable tennis.
