Trebs and NickisBHAFC discuss the latest goings on in the football league in the latest episode of The 72 Show.

We analyse the big game at the top of the Championship with Newcastle beating Brighton to go top. Is this the end of the title race? And how secure are Brighton and Newcastle in the top two places. We look at whether the likes of Leeds and Huddersfield can challenge. We also look at Blackburn, who have replaced Owen Coyle with Tony Mowbray who has made a positive start.

In League One, we look at who will finish second behind current table-toppers Sheffield United. Scunthorpe have been impressive all season but are struggling for form at present with Fleetwood in third place on a club-record unbeaten run. Along with this, we discuss the sides at the bottom with Oldham and Bury showing good form. Could teams such as Northampton and Charlton get dragged into the relegation battle?

League Two saw Doncaster win their first game in six with a 3-2 victory over Cambridge. They remain top with the other sides around them also stuttering, with Plymouth and Carlisle both losing their last games to Notts County and Cheltenham respectively who have both given themselves some breathing space from the relegation zone.

We also discuss the EFL 'Checkatrade' trophy and the FA Cup exploits of Sutton United and Lincoln City, along with another look at Leyton Orient. They have issues off the pitch, along with on it where they are second from bottom and look likely to be relegated from the Football League.
