Monday Night Raw - Discussion Thread - Will contain spoilers obviously
Anyone else staying up for this tonight after an incredible Wrestlemania.
Potential things that could happen...
Finn Balor's return?
The Hardy Boyz will be DELETED?
Potential call ups from NXT...Shinsuke Nakamura, The Revival, Andrade "Cien" Almas?
Brock Lesnar starts his reign as WWE Universal Champion...
Im just a sexy kurt becoming GM?
Possible announcement of the next Draft?
Anyone else got some predictions for the night?

Hook line and sinker
They've just made roman the biggest draw in wrestling. That's the most energy there's been in a crowd in years
His alignment is now irrelevant. He's become the most must see man in the business now

Is it too early to doubt Undertaker's retirement? while I accept he is so protective of his character that he may not want the whole Roc Flair treatment, I'd still have expected it to be the hottest topic on RAW, especially from Vince, he even used it to tease the fans before talking about Stephanie.
He looked a broken old man but you don't stick around that long unless you are passionate about what you do and while in his head it might have been over, I suspect that he might want to go out on a much better performance on a personal level.
I'd rather he didn't but the silence on that subject, given how monumental it would be to the WWE was deafening.

I think it's protecting the character, Kay Fabe.
We all know that underneath the hat, gloves, coat and persona he's Mark Calloway, but the WWE and Vince will always assume we are dumb and don't know that. He will always want the Undertaker to come out on RAW and be 'that' person. That's why he came out to see Flair off separately, because the Deadman shouldn't be seen paying respects to anyone.
I agree with Che, I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see him again, but, that being said, last night wasn't the time or place to address that.

Last night would've been the perfect time to address it, if a top star of sport/entertainment suddenly retires then for the next 24 hours it's the hottest topic in that particular industry, a lot of things happened at WrestleMania but for me there's without a shadow of doubt The Undertaker 'retiring' was the biggest and main topic coming out of it.

Just watched that opening segment again, that was absolutely brilliant, Reigns was never going to talk over them with the hostility they had so he played it too perfection, he mouthed at one point "I've got you in the palm of my hands" and he 100% did, anytime the boos were beginning to fade he would fake a promo to build it up again, then his one sentence promo was all he needed.

They've learned how to play these post-Mania crowds. The only slip was the Enzo/Cass vs Shesaro match where I don't think they quite understood that against Cesaro pretty much anyone was gonna get booed.
Most importantly, The Revival!
Or the draft. The draft was the most important, the Revival excited me the most.

But this is a crowd that is prone to hi-jacking the show. There's also the debuts, returns associated with it. If Taker comes out and says he's retired etc, and then the crowd go mad over a beach ball or a Balor return, it's hardly likely to be remembered for Taker leaving.
Also, from a booking perspective, it needed Reigns to do what he did to build on the win and this 'turn'.
If Taker is gone, it should be on his terms to come out and say goodbye. Let's not forget, Flair's retirement was forced upon him.

Re: Monday Night Raw - Discussion Thread - Will contain spoilers obviously
Taker never wanted a big deal to be made out of his retirement, so Im glad they touched on it the way they did.
Overall, a bloody good episode of RAW. Lots to look forward to, wish they would put the draft off for another couple of months though.
Angle as GM? Yes please more of this. Great replacement for Foley. And Vince is still excellent on the mic. Can work with a crowd better than most.
The Revival on RAW in the best place for them. They'll get great matches out of most of those teams, cant wait.
I knew Balor would be back but that didnt stop me marking out a little bit.
Reigns handled the situation perfectly. 5 word promo was all it took.
Braun vs Lesnar? Yes please all of that.
Main event tag team with 4 former NXT Champions? The future is indeed now.
I dont want to be negative but I doubt WWE can keep this standard up, but I hope Im wrong. Bloody good RAW.

I didn't expect The Undertaker to come out last night but if he did you can be sure he'd have got full command of the fans, particularly with the expectation he retired, nevertheless, I didn't and don't expect Undertaker to come out and call it a day, when he goes, and it may very well have been Sunday, that's exactly how I expect him to go but that also leads me into my thinking that even though he'd not come out and say it, I'd expect the WWE to make a huge deal about it in the immediate aftermath, particularly Vince.
I don't really buy all that protecting his character stuff anymore, all you need to do is look at Twitter to see the messages he got from current talent, even if you don't look at Twitter; Michael Cole is quick to tell us about said tweets on RAW anyway so I don't see the difference in Cole reading out tweets about Taker from HHH and Vince actually highlighting it on the mic.
