Jimmy Gopperth (Wasps)
Joe Launchbury (Wasps)
Olli Woodburn (Exeter)
Michael Rhodes (Saracens)
Louis Picamoles (Saints)
Mark Wilson (Falcons)

Finally recognition for Mark Wilson. What a great achievement to be in that list despite playing for small northern club......

Don't know who chooses the winner but this group chose the shortlist

The shortlist was compiled by a panel of media professionals – Chris Jones (BBC 5 Live), Ben Coles (Planet Rugby), Jill Douglas (Freelance), Alastair Eykyn (BT Sport), Alex Lowe (The Times), Nick Purewal (Press Association), Stephen Jones (Sunday Times), Jonny Fordham (The Sun), Sarah Mockford (Rugby World), and Nick Mullins (BT Sport). They were joined by Paul Morgan (Premiership Rugby’s Communications Director) who chaired the panel.

Slated by eeeeveryone but has proved us all wrong, looked in the form of his life for a lot of the season and a big part of why Wasps are doing so well.

It wasn't so long ago that the Wasp fans were desperately wishing that he'd get cited and banned for his cheap shot on Tait so Dai would be forced to replace him in the squad.

Admittedly a lot of the change is due to the shift from 10 to 12, but his turn around is still great to see.
