I'd give you £3m tops for him on the basis that with the price freeze, you won't be able to benefit from any increase until February/March time. £3m now has to be worth more than £5/6m in 5 months time when you are probably going to be looking at signing much higher value players.

And it also frees up a space in your squad meaning you are not forced to sell/release to be able to buy
