I would have preferred Spencer or Robson tbh. Wiggles has one of the best box kicks in the NH though, could be handy against the Irish.

Team to play Wales:

15 Mike Brown (Harlequins 65 caps), 14 Anthony Watson (Bath Rugby 29 caps), 13 Jonathan Joseph (Bath Rugby 36 caps), 12 Owen Farrell (Saracens 54 caps), 11 Jonny May (Leicester Tigers 30 caps), 10 George Ford (Leicester Tigers 41 caps), 9 Danny Care (Harlequins 77 caps), 1 Mako Vunipola (Saracens 45 caps), 2 Dylan Hartley (Northampton Saints 90 caps), 3 Dan Cole (Leicester Tigers 78 caps), 4 Joe Launchbury (Wasps 48 caps), 5 Maro Itoje (Saracens 15 caps), 6 Courtney Lawes (Northampton Saints 62 caps), 7 Chris Robshaw (Harlequins 60 caps), 8 Sam Simmonds (Exeter Chiefs 4 caps).

Finishers
16 Jamie George (Saracens 21 caps), 17 Alec Hepburn (Exeter Chiefs 1 cap), 18 Harry Williams (Exeter Chiefs 6 caps), 19 George Kruis (Saracens 22 caps), 20 Sam Underhill (Bath Rugby 4 caps), 21 Richard Wigglesworth (Saracens 27 caps), 22 Ben Te’o (Worcester Warriors 9 caps), 23 Jack Nowell (Exeter Chiefs 24 caps).

Not a surprise really to see Care and JJ start.
I like how the RFU lists the subs as 'finishers' now  laughing

Basically, I called out the Welsh posters for disappearing off the forum for a while when they lose a game.

Mikey assumed that as I hadn't been online between 5pm Saturday and 9am Monday, I had done a disappearing act as Wales had beaten Scotland

First time on here in a while....will be honest working full time and completing final year of masters has taken it's toll so this league kind of went to bottom of my list. Currently experiencing the joys of dissertation so have been avoiding distractions too.

Although it appears Gloucester have actually been a lot better without me around to do anything with them anyway! Not sure how much I will be on to do predos and get team in so may need some nudges or people to chuck a team in for me if that's alright?

Also, from reading about Bam enjoying winding up the welsh I may disappear until the end of May if we lose Saturday!

Congrats you horrible lot. To be fair the losing team deserved lbp and winning team didn't deserve try bonus. Few silly errors from us especially kicking so much when we were dangerous in attack.

Underhill's tackle was quality. Yes we could complain about the try no try but hey ho live and learn. Moriarty was solid in defence and tips made a great impact. Felt Wales stood up to all of Jones' verbal before the game. Adams looked lost today which was a shame. Maybe should have brought North on earlier.

Robshaw was outstanding for you guys. Brown really needs a clip at some point. Too much gob for me.

Not a great game attacking wise but a real arm wrestle.

I thought it was pretty much a half each and much closer than what I thought it would be. Navidi looked strong, it was an overall pretty good display from Wales.

England, still not giving an 80min game but coming away with the win. Brown was great, I love his attitude to be honest Prop, he's so niggly. Launchbury keeps on getting better and better and Farrell was superb!

It's certainly looking like an England or Ireland championship at this stage.

Good viewing. Hard to see what exactly is going on due to the angles but it looks like we're struggling at the beginning and them pushed them back a bit at the end.

So, that was a great weekend to be an English supporter...  Sad

Are we just papering over the cracks, or just a blip?

I do believe we were outclassed at the breakdown, and didn't have much invention in the midfield. Don't think they are silver bullet answers, but Underhill and Slade coming in would make a difference to both aspects straight away imo.

Agree with you mate.

We needed to take a look at Robson/or another SH in this time that Youngs is injured. Almost every other side has tried a new option in the case of injury.
I know that is quite a way from the conservative thinking that Jones has been doing, seeing as why would we change what we are doing when we are winning!

He's not bound to England, as South Africa A aren't their second team, and he is Irish Qualified on his mum's side.

He's gonna try for Ireland and try to start where JOC is keeping him out, and Munster get a good Irish Qualified player and can move Zebo to the wing

Sad to see you go mate!

Lads, it looks like it is becoming harder and harder to keep this going at the moment. I know Prop and CJ struggle at the minute as well. I would love to continue, however, with no new managers coming in to at least fill up the rest of the sides, I feel like we are on a hiding to nothing at the moment.
Happy to create a different league, for those that are still interested in a rugby league. Any ideas welcome.

Cheers guys  rose guinness
