We can't have a cap next season is what we've learned from these market value changes

If anything I think there's more reason for a cap - either that or continue the freeze on existing players

If it was my decision I would continue the freeze on current players. (I even said that when we  decided rules at the start), but there's no way the league would agree to that.

I said this many weeks back too, and agree with it still. One potential middle ground would be to only unfreeze if the player moves domestically.

But you won't get full agreement on it as too many have built their strategy on targeting price increases.

Although I have targeted young players that have a good chance of moving in January, I would go for anything that prolongs the life of the league

Or cap the price increase to a maximum amount per player - complicated to work out for every lawyer but using say a 25% maximum increase would still benefit those who have targeted price increases but not inflate league values too highly

So for me, Guedes has gone from 15m to 36m

Rather than getting his 21m price rise, his new price would be 20m, giving him a lawyer value of 22m

This is my stance too. I have targeted players for value increases and focused more on season 2, but would go for it if it was for the greater good..

I have a few players who have gone down in value, so perhaps freeze for increases but not for decreases?

For me, the league should have no cap next season with it intended to finish after season 2.

There's two options to prolong the league:
1. Find a way to weaken all the squads (forced lawyers, removing players, paying debts - something along those lines)
2. Freeze all values for the duration of the league.

This is a middle ground option. Wouldn't be too complicated so long as everyone updated and kept their value on their team page, as they are supposed to be doing now anyway.

I thought it was intended to be a long term league, rather than ending after season 2

What you're all not realising is that yes a lot of players in the league have had huge price rises...but a lot of players not in the league have also have had huge price rises. Reduce the money in and you're strangling yourselves as that player that was on a par with your player last week now costs double him.

That's true - with all the price rises we need a very high cap to get anyone decent. That's why I suggest no cap.

Pretty much all of us are out to make a profit so all the players with the big boi price rises are in the league.

Maybe we should look at it at the end of the season, and make a decision based on how much each team has seen in price increases to try and keep it fair

There are still loads of players below the TP limit.

It is true that the price increases put more players out of reach, and a value freeze would add to that, but that doesn't have to be a bad thing.

At the start, people were vocal about it not becoming a "stock broker" league, but it still has. By "strangling" our ability to upgrade it means squads will still have weaknesses and it will promote tactics a bit more.

It will also encourage more wheeling a dealing based on a players ability, and not on his potential value

I dont think the price rises will mean better players cone into the league. Have a look at your teams price rises and see if it actually means you can buy "better" players. Over 35m I think ability is quite close. It's when you get into 70 and 80m territory that you take a step up in ability. But a price cap would solve it.

I think what the rises will do will mean you have more chance to build an all round very good squad rather than most players being good with a few very good players in the mix.
