Matt Prior smashed the Lords window
England's Prior reprimanded after smashing Lord's window
England wicketkeeper Matt Prior has been reprimanded by the International Cricket Council after smashing a window in the second Test against Sri Lanka.

Such attitudes show how unstable and fragile minded some sportsmen are.
How would such persons be able to achieve high goals in life or even digest the fame??!!

it was hit bat rebounding, he didnt deliberately smash the window.

Mountain and molehills. My understanding is he threw a glove in anger and this caused the bat to break the window. Unfortunate yes but he's apologised and presumably paid for the damage. Let's put it to bed now.

Its not quite in the league of slapping your team mate and making him cry is it.
Id be more worried about having a player who wasnt annoyed about getting run out like that.

Well, whether it was intentional or not, he did damage the dressing room.
I suppose the ICC had to be seen to be doing something to say, "Try not to do it again - there's a good chap".
Could've been worse - he could have been made to pay the repair bill.

If he was a team player surely he wouldn't be too bothered? It's not as if England were threatening to lose the game? Shows a selfish attitude if you ask me

It's natural to be peeved when you get out, especially in the fashion he did. I agree with Peter completely here.

With a freak run out like that you can see why hes annoyed but his actions were stupid and could be in alot more bother if anything like that happens again.
Re: Matt Prior smashed the Lords window
Those who follow the Surrey threads on 606v2 will know that the Corporal has had his recent military duties severely disrupted by 'the management' insisting upon improvement work surrounding one of his own barrack room windows.
Given the Corporal's experience and expertise in all window type matters together with Prior's apparent concern for the results of his actions, it would seem entirely fitting for our test keeper to himself repair the Lords window with the finished job then being checked by 606v2's own expert!

Guildford - good idea - if of course it can be combined with a free ticket to Lords to ensure that no other players are in danger from falling windows!

Hi every one, accidental or not, I am questioning the fickle mindedness of sportsmen, who could otherwise become legends.
While we at it, the behaviour of Oz team, especially the Ponting, after they lost to India, this is when they taste a failure, but what about the success getting in to their heads? Flintoff getting #issed as if there no tomorrow after winning the Ashes.

Again hardly in the league of getting arrested for drug smuggling or match fixing is it.
This isnt even remotley an issue for anyone except those determined to find a reason to have a go at others.
